Isn't it fairly possible that there will need to be an intevention to prevent genocide if we leave?

With the government begging us to stay is this really good diplomacy?

Does it occur as odd to anyone that the only place where minority candidates are making any headway is on the Democratic side?

It shouldn't - it just goes to show what a bunch of southern, white supremacist, male chauvinist bastards Republicans are.

I'd like to know what issues are most important to you folks in the upcoming election. What platforrm would you be more willing to support?

Are you going to vote Democrat or Republican and why?

Are you going to cast your vote FOR a candidate or is your vote going to vote AGAINST someone?

What political issue is the most important to you?

Thanks!

I am talking about when the newly formed Whig Party put different candidates on different state ballots since they could not find a candidate in which the northern, southern, and western voters could agree on.

So for today the Republicans could put Guliani on the ticket in the Northeast and another candidate for the rest of the country.

Or the Democrats can put Edwards on the ballot for the southern states, and another candidate for the rest of the country.

The ultimate goal would be to eliminate a big state from the other party. However, if it goes anything like it did in 1836, it could be considered a failure.

I think the media is bumping up barak and hilary too much has anyone even looked at the other candidates? At the democratic debate on tv I thought the old guy mike gravel and dennis kucinich is a better candidate then all the rest, why? They are realist and have ample time in public service, mike has 50 years experience and knows whats real, and does'nt beat around the bush. He's for grassroot movements. He is the only democrat that is for the fair tax a bill that would solve many huge problems like illegal immigrants, getting rid of the irs, a closer a more possible universal health care, and many more things. He knows exactly how to get things done. In 50 years of service he has seen all the crooked ways of congress and knows how to make things happen so there is no loopholes and excuses. Those are my two cents. People should vote for better and faster ways to improve life not by popularity contest.

In my opinion it was Kucinich. I don't agree with his politics, but I sure as heck respect his commitment to his principles. The rest of them are "politics as usual" - (except Gravel, who I've never heard of before last night).

Hillary Clinton will say anything she has to. Now she's saying she only supported the war because Bush said he'd go to the UN and have inspectors sent back in to search for WMD. If that were true, she'd have raised her voice in April 2003. She didn't back off her support for the war until 2005.

Obama and Edwards are smooth talkers, but they really don't "say" anything. Edwards made me cringe when he told us his dad, who was sitting in the audience, couldn't afford to buy them dinner at a diner after church one day. Imagine being his dad? Everyone turns and looks..... "really, you were so poor you couldn't feed your kids?"

I could not watch but read the transcripts this morning. I have never in my life seen such a group of "leaders" with basically nothing to say, and nothing to add to the economic growth of our country. They were absolutely lost on terror and Iraq.

I was really quite surprised that they could only drum the Soros chant of hate bush and had nothing to say about Iraq except we want to quit.

How anyone with a brain could expect any of these losers to lead a nation is beyond me. They were clueless on foreign affairs and economy. Hill was spectacular with her well prepared lies.

How many of them do you think had ear pieces with someone feeding them answers and talking points?

Is there a simple and quick way of comparing political parties? I'm fed up of those leaflets you get through the door, they all encourage you to "vote for me, I'm the best" but why should I if I don't really know what the party stands for?

I don't understand this. We are the richest, yet most in debt country. How is this so? The Federal deficit is predicted to hit $477 Billion this year (http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2004-01-26-def_x.htm) and yet the candidates that are up to fight for the claim of the Presidents chair all are well off and don't have to worry about money. How do we know that they will worry about the money the government spends that it doesn't have? How do we know that they won't continue to play off their own political agendas while in the presidency and add to this ever growing problem that is looming over our heads?
