Are there organised canvassers on here from New Labour? From Tories, UKIP, BNP, Greens, ANL, SWP, Urban 75, etc etc etc??? Do you lot get told by your fellow members or your political party /organisations to constantly stay on Yahoo Answers? Should Yahoo Ansers try to root them out?

I believe you are right. The most obvious ones are from the BNP. I doubt whether there are many from mainstream parties, since most are quite satisfied with their coverage in the traditional media and wouldn't bother much about a site such as this.

The BNP, however, do complain about a lack coverage in the traditional media, and tend to use sites like Y/A to make themselves and their views more well known. Although, the BNP are the most obvious culprits, I'm sure some of the other parties or organisations you mention are active on Y/A as well.

I don't think these people should be stopped from asking or answering valid questions on Y/A as long as they conform to Yahoo's guidelines. No matter how much you disagree with them, the right to freedom of speech must be defended. That right, however can be abused and I think quite a few people who post on Y/A do abuse it.

I have seen a lot of posts from such people which certainly do not conform to Yahoo's guidelines (again mainly from BNP). Most of these simply do not adhere to the question / answer format, and are statements or campaigning slogans rather than questions. These can more or less be considered as spam in my view, since they are purely attempts to boost their parties profile and gain votes. I have answered a few of these "questions" myself pointing out that fact.

I do think Yahoo need to crack down on such blatant party political campaigning, but people can't be stopped from asking legitimate questions which do not violate Yahoo's rules and guidelines.

There is certainly a surge of New Labour spill over the last few weeks calling everybody racialists if they don't agree with communism. I have tried to inform a number of contributors to this forum that this insulting behaviour is out of order but with little success I'm afraid.

I think those who are in favor of the UKIP or BNP are people who only express their political views, since it is difficult to do so (and get them published) in "democratic" mainstream media Internet sites. Maybe those of the "Labor Party" and "Tories" are told by fellow members of their parties to stage a "show of force".

"Agree with Redmonk, you can spot these people easily their answers are always the same, their questions are always the same, if you do not agree that Labour is wonderful for Britain then you are a racist.
I 'm not quite sure if it's "teams of answerers from political parties" or little men sitting in their corner shops insulting everyone who likes free speech.
I tend to think the latter.
No Yahoo Answers should keep them in they are showing the rest of us who definately not to vote for

Political parties are interested in this forum to show what they want to project. Thus, it is possible that they could have involved participants in this forum.
