It's a shame, but it is bound to happen. I think there's plenty more to Hillary and Barrack than there race and gender but pretty much all of the minorities in this country feel, let's say at least a bit disenfranchised. We've had mostly over the hill grouchy white men at the helm for a long long time. Once in awhile we'll throw in a sex addict, or roguish Irishman and most recently a fool (jester?) People are hopefully hungry for change.

It's a sad fact in our country.
I hope though, that the majority of people in this country will take an honest and open minded look at Obama. He has some really great ideas, and wants to unite our country-to stop bickering about one side or the other, because the majority of Americans are actually middle of the road, media just makes it out that you have to be one side or the other.
As for his lack of experience, there have been many American presidents in the past who had very little political experience : Washington being one I can name off the top of my head.
One thing he's got going for him, that many of the other candidates don't is that he's spent many years working with average Americans (middle class and poor) and he actually listens to us. He wants to put policies in place that would help out the majority (middle class and poor) rather than just the upper 1%.
And he does not take lobbyist money! (He refused $50,000 a couple weeks ago when he found out that it was from a lobbyist group)
Please look beyond the media and do your own research to find out who is the best candidate for you. The media tends to spin things to make people look good or bad, and to sell more newspapers or get higher ratings.
If you want to know more about Obama, please check out his book "The Audacity of Hope" (it's very inspiring: I am voting for the first time ever in this election-I'm 27, and gives you great insight to his character) or go to BarackObama.com.
Also, to see what bills he has helped to pass, go to his senate web page.

of direction human beings could vote in step with coverage and whoever can do the activity the final, it incredibly shouldn't even remember what party they are linked with in the event that they are the final person for the activity. in spite of the undeniable fact that, keep in mind that there will be some human beings balloting for McCain fullyyt because of the fact he's male and white, I notice which you probably did no longer point out that, and there has been a 2 hundred year historic previous of white male applicants (different than for Geraldine Ferraro and Jesse Jackson). In all of that 2 hundred+ years i will guess there became somebody else who might have completed a extra perfect activity who wasn't male or white. individually, i think of Ralph Nader is the final candidate based fullyyt on coverage and ability, yet dammit he's not interior the working.

I have never voted based on race nor gender. I have voted for women & blacks before. My senator is a woman that I campaigned for - she was the most qualified.
Qualifications matter the most - 2 equal canidates will have me voting for the woman though. Pelosi may make me change my mind though. Crazy chick!!!
I will not vote for either Hillary or Obama - he admits drug use & is way too far left. Hillary proved a lack of self respect by accepting Bill's treatment just to be able to run for office one day. She should have kicked him to the curb before Flowers & Monica.

They are stupid. Vote for the person, not based on race or gender!!! Race and/or gender have no basis in the fact that a person is qualified.
Obama isn't qualified due to his lack of experience. Hillary is not qualified because she's a socialist twit that will raise taxes and destroy our country. NOTHING TO DO WITH RACE OR GENDER!

It would be great to think that the American public was bright enough and well- educated on the politics of their own country to make an educated decision in voting for a qualified candidate. Unfortunately, when people choose to remain ignornant on issues, don't read, and are more concerned about who's not wearing panties in Hollywood instead of who is teaching their children, and the true reasons why we are occupying foreign nations, they find themselves in the majority of voting for someone who looks like them b/c that's what they trust.

It is a sad fact, that they do. I have no issues with the fact that Hillary is a woman, however I question that sometimes? :) And I have no issue with Obama other than he can't make up his mind whether he is catholic or Muslim and that scares me. So I will not be voting for either of them, If I were to vote for a Dem which will not be the case, but It would be Bill Richardson. I would have no issue with Condoleeza Rice Running but I think she is stuck in Bush's hip pocket. So.
Vote for Ron Paul...

Race and gender must not be a basis for electing a President. The qualification and sincerity to serve the people must be the main factors to be considered.
VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know who will likely win.

I would like a woman to be president someday, but I am smart enough to know NOT to vote for this one. Unfortunately, there are people who will vote for this one just because of the gender. Goddess help us.

They are bigots.
Politics is about ideas, ideas do not owe themselves to a specific gender or race. Anyone who would dismiss any ideas or leadership from a person based on something like that is a bigot. Period.
