Great Question!
But not someone from the Bush administration. Not someone who once called Bush "my husband" or lies as easily as Rice.
A Republican woman could be a national winner, either Pres or VP.
Right now, the senior Republican senator from Maine, (as Maine goes so goes the nation) Olympia Snowe would be a great choice.
She recently parted from the lock step of the Republicans to try to end the vicious war for oil.
She is prochoice and very solid on foreign affairs, but apparently never actually having an affair. No scandals in her career.
Maine tends to be very independent (Ross Perot placed second there in 92) so she has done well with mainstream independent voters.
Any number of other capable Republican woman could run and maybe win nationally.
But the GOP (Grand Old Pukes??) will never let a woman survive the primaries.

Sometimes you people can't see the forest through the fn tree's. Condoleeza Rice could Run but has the sense not too. Hillary is making a mockery of the USA that is all. Obama is a Fricken Terrorist. If the Dems had anyone worth running in 2004 why the Hell did they run "Jon I'm a nimrod numskull, nitwit Kerry?"
The only real Candidate the Dems have is Bill Richardson. So instead of listening to all the liberal Media BS why don't you look into the real issues, and look at the real candidates. Like Ron Paul. A Libertarian with a Great Platform who is Running as a Republican so he can get on the ballet. He is someone all the Libs and Cons should look at. Seriously.

First your wrong. You seem to think that a woman has a chance as Democrat (which she doesnt). Name one woman or minority President that was a Democrat and I will conceed to you. Second, define 'headway'? There is plenty of minority representation in the Republican party. It is a party based on the principle that you get what you work for, not entitlements. The Democratic party is chock full of people who eat off a silver plate and say 'how horrible' minorities are treated-- while they fly off to their fancy homes. Dont kid yourself.

Condi has told too many lies, botched things too badly. Like most bushies, she's been tainted by their corruption, ineptitude and failure.
Face it, neo-cons aren't really conservatives at all - they don't believe in sane spending or balancing the budget, they don't believe in prudent use of force internationally, and they don't believe in reducing government intrusion into our lives. There was a time when conservatives beleived in those things.
Now, they just beleive in some weirdly idolatrous worship of "the leader," war, psuedo-science, greed and intolerance. You can only fool people with lies, smoke and mirrors for so long, and the neo-cons have had their time. There have always been plenty of perfectly good female true-conservative candidates in the Republican party (Olympia Snowe, Liddy Dole), but you neo-con morons keep going back to people like Condi. Face it - you had six years of unprecedented power and you blew it - it's over. As the Democrats have done several times, you will need to go back, update your message, and start over. Come up with something that isn't completely nuts this time, willya?

Condoleeza Rice can win the Presidency as Republican and it is possible because anything can happen in elections.
VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know who will likely win.

Condi could possibly win. I think the Repubs would really have a split in their following if a black woman ran as their primary.
