Although I'm a registered Democrat I have been casting my vote for the Independent party regardless of who's running because if they can pull five percent of the vote, they qualify for federal campaign funding the next time around. If they could just get the federal funding the would stand a better shot at winnin an election eventually. Anyone else like that idea?

Most important issues: A definite plan for addressing the
needs and problems of the American people at home...
moral awareness, health care, education, the elderly, Social Security, minimum wage, environmental issues, fuel prices,
gun control, and finally a definite plan for a resolution of the Iraq. Not just words.

I will cast my ballot FOR the person who best will deal with the above mentioned issues. The only situation in which I
might vote against a candidate is if he is a mirror image of
our current president or is a person who will be more of
a dictator than a person who will work with Congress for
the purpose of getting things done...whether it fits his agenda
or not.

I try to vote for the individual. For the last several years however, this has seemed to be Democratic...not because
I believe in everything the party's platform contains...but
because the candidates address more of the issues I am
most concerned about.

At this particular time, the most important issue I guess would
have to be the general support of the American family and
the common man, as well as plain old down to earth honesty
and openness.

Just a comment...the issues out there that are most important
should not be considered POLITICAL issues...but REAL
LIFE issues of the American people.
