Is there a simple and quick way of comparing political parties? I'm fed up of those leaflets you get through the door, they all encourage you to "vote for me, I'm the best" but why should I if I don't really know what the party stands for?

Follow the link below - it is to a wikipedia page which lists active political parties in the UK, with a short summary of what each stands for, and a link to further details on each party.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_political_parties_in_the_United_Kingdom

Hope this helps

If the Green party drop a leaflet remember that if they didn't exist as a political party more trees would be producing oxygen, in other words forget them, they are a bad joke. Lib Dems know nothing, BNP feed hatred, UKIP do the same, the Tories are likely to soon want us all to carry guns and Labour are crap but don't want us to have guns so vote Labour.

Go to the website below; it has links to all the main UK parties. From these links you will learn their manifestos, latest party news, etc. This is the site's opening paragraph: 'So you can't tell a Social Democrat from a Center Leftist? Our list of political parties will prove to be a valuable resource on the groups providing the muscle behind the UK's democratic process.' Happy Reading & hope it helps you to decide!

What a naive person you are.

The Political Parties are all the same.
The Geen Party wants people to be forced into 'Green' living, The BNP want all people who are not British or the wrong colour or the wrong outlook or with long hair or with the wrong sexual orientation or the wrong attitude to be kicked out of Britain in a body bag.
The Tories and Labour are basically the same Party with a different name.

All the Politicians make their campaign promises and then fail to deliver.
It really doesn't matter who you vote for out of the major Parties because NOTHING WILL CHANGE!

The smaller parties wont be voted in so you dont need to bother with them.

Well...for a start
The Labour party are all for greed, dishonesty and deprivation.
The Tories are pretending to be labour with a human face..but dont quite manage it.

I will vote for whoever 'promises' not to tax me as much as any of the others.

I really don't like giving flippant answers but you might as well draw straws at the moment mate. They've all mingled in to "Lets make the planet green and tax the sh1t out of us all" parties.
