Are the Republicans proud of the Bush administration for doing precisely what Bin Laden publicly said he'd hope they'd do? Specifically bleeding America militarily and economically.
Reid and Pelosi are imbeciles with no real power to change anything, all they have are words, and foolish ones at that.
The administration on the other hand has always had the ability to choose between striking a serious blow to our enemies or effectively helping our enemies through foolish actions. They either really like having a boogy-man to scare the voters with every few years or they're just that incompetent, you choose.
