Why does it seem that black men and women that are Republicans can be viciously attacked with name calling by democrats while the general public and the media appear to have no problem ?

Since Lynn Swann (gubernatorial candidate for Pennsylvania) started his campaign ,I have noticed and heard some harsh and down right cruel comments by many locally well known and prominent democrats ( I know some of these people as I was a democrat for over 20 years) .

IF the media - television or newspapers mentions it at all - it is brushed aside as the person was "misquoted or misspoke" but they never apologize either. Why is this tolerated ?

I don't live with blinders on but I just hadn't noticed it before.

I'm moderate in political views and I'm having a hard time deciding who to vote for.

Is there any web site out there that is going to be unbias and state facts about Georgia canidates, their history and their platforms. Its been really hard reading up on their websites because it can often be misleading.

If you know of any web sites that can help me decide who I need to vote for, please send it my way. I do not strictly vote Democrate or Republican... I vote for whose platform is best and who has the best "track" record or history in politics.

I know what I personally stand for, but its hard to see through these happy smiling faces and friendly advertisements to see what issues their mind and heart are really set on.

Thanks for your help.

It's often frustrating to be forced to settle for one lame politician over another because of the lack of choice. I have also always thought it rediculous to "party-line" vote, because can you really be in alignment with every candidate of either party? There needs to be another choice; a party that truly represents the interests of the average american and not the average politician or big business.

If you think there could be another viable party, where would they be on the ideology continuum? To the left? Right? in the middle?

Do they really sway you either way or do they make you look down at the person lowering themselves to do such an add? I ask b/c I live in Little Rock, Ar and the race is heating up for Govenor, Mike Beebe and Asa Hutchinson are really going at it. The latest this morning was a campaign full of children speaking down againt Mike Beebe, kinda made Asa look really bad, and he's my choice to win. What is your take in your state?

I answered a guestion a while ago & I notice the problem is stiill coming up. Why cant we work together & solve problems. I have to admit some Democrates have good ideas (not many but some)like more money for No Child Left Behind but Republicans say the funding is enough. The Republicans have good ideas like allowing younger people to take 1% of their SS money & invest it in the stock market where it will grow better then in goverment bonds. But the Democrats fight any ideas that MAY help the fundbefore it goes broke. Why cant the to parties just seat down & do what we sent them to Washington to do & find long lasting answers to our problems& I dont mean just raiseing taxes in class warfair. Every one should have to help, forget party & vote & work with your heart & brain. Is this to hard? If so lets get people in there who think of us befor party then we may be great agan.

A line was dropped in passing on Jack Cafferty's show on Fox News several weeks ago to the effect that in some places in the United States illegal aliens can vote. I am curious about this. Has anyone else ever heard of such a thing?

If I could speak directly to Catholics (like me), you have a moral responsibility to participate in the electoral process and to vote consistent with the values of our Catholic faith. A Catholic cannot vote for a candidate who is for abortion, gay marriage, the morning after pill, and embryonic stem cell research. The war in Iraq is important, but holds a lesser moral standing than the murder of over 4000 innocent babies each day. We could be one of the most powerful voting blocks in the country, yet we water down our strength (and degrade our faith) when "Kerry Catholics" embrace a Democratic platform that is almost entirely inconsistent with our faith. The Democratic Party of 40 years ago is gone. I didn't leave them, they left me.

Does anyone else see it the same way?

ok. i'm 18 and i filled out one of those voter registration forms. it says that i need to have a california id card. i don't have one, so i went for the second option: giving the last 4 numbers of my social security number. so, i did that. i was just wondering if i can still vote. i guess california law says that you need to have proper identification in order to go into one of the booths. i was wondering if i could take my school id card with me (i graduated last june, but it has my picture). thanks.

i sure do hope so....especially if there is gonna be airstrikes on iran!!! so that iran can atleast defend their children!!! USAF and IDF only wanna kill kids....that is their main job!!! iran should get the su-34...j-10....su-30mki....su-35....and when they come out...J-XX...sukhoi PAK FA!!! that will give them the best air force in the region by far!!! far exceeding israeli air force!!! i love russia and china!!! what do u biased americans think??? im glad that the US miltary always underestimates the iran military...iran can use that as an advantage....if US sees iran as a real military threat they will go full force....just like israel got done by hezbollah....i hope US military thinks the iran military is a poofter military and can wipe it out....thats the state of mind the US should be in!!! iran should be happy!!! if there are airstrikes...US might have to deal with russia and china since they said NO TO MILITARY ACTION IN IRAN!!!! THEY SAID HELLLLLLL NO!!! NOT JUST NO!!!
