Tough call.
I'm quite impressed by Mr. Obama. He's intelligent, articulate, charismatic and seems to speak directly to a broad spectrum of the populace. He blew me away with his keynote address at the '04 convention. Unlike most politicians, he seems to really "give a damn." On the downside, he's a political neophyte with a relatively narrow range of experience. We don't know how well he will stand up against a full-court press within the Democratic Party, let alone against the Republicans should he get the nomination.
I'm also impressed with Mrs. Clinton. She too is intelligent, articulate and also speaks to a broad spectrum of the populace. She's somewhat closer to the center politically; I certainly don't agree with her position on the Iraq war though I do admire her support for the troops. She has a long political history and experience that goes back over 3 decades -- all the way back to the Nixon impeachment hearings. She's proven that she can shrug off criticism and full-scale attacks on her both personally and politically -- a critical skill for any senior leader -- and walk away unscathed. She also brings something to the table that no other politician ever has -- she's one pillow away from someone who's "been there, done that." Anyone who doesn't think she'll seek Bill's counsel behind the bedroom doors just doesn't understand how The Clintons work.
I'll have to reserve my final choice until we get closer to the Democratic primary in '08. An awful lot can (and probably will) happen between now and then.
Whichever one gets the party nod, I see a Clinton-Obama or Obama-Clinton ticket as almost a certainty.

Are those two our only options?
Honestly, I'm not sure. I don't think our country's ready for either - Hillary's a woman, and some still believe that a woman's place is in the home, and they're inferior to men. And Obama's half-black and raised by at least one Muslim parent - some racist people just won't be able to see through that.
Personally, I'd vote for Obama. Even though I am a woman, I don't think the country is ready for a woman President. And aside from that, Obama seems to really take into consideration what his consituents say and feel - he might be the more rational of the two.

I can tell you right now that the Caucasian Americans will not allow Obama to become President of this country without a fight. The mentality, although it's wrong, is that this is THEIR country and that the President should always be Caucasian. I guarantee those voters will crawl out the woodwork to keep Obama out as much as the African American voters and other minorities would come out to get him in. And don't be surprised that he will get death threats because it will happen just like with (Ret) Gen Powell. I feel there should be a break in the racial card and that a decent, strong leader should be in charge of this country. Perhaps Obama can repair the damage of the judgments of the past Presidents and we as a country won't be so hated.

Obama is defiantly more of a better choice. He seems sincere and seems to want what is best for the country. While I agree he needs more maturing in the Senate, he is a much better choice than Hillary who seems to be all about power and control.

Obama of course. Both for Democratic primary and presidency. This idiot who thinks a black man or a woman can not be president should seek Afhgani citizenship. Mular Omar would be proud of him.

Hillary has Bill or maybe Bill had Hillary, maybe not for sex but for advice, whatever. Bill is the wisest President who ever lived or will ever live. We need the Clinton's back to save the world.

Definitely Obama.
Hillery is just that bit too much interested in power instead of the country's wellbeing.

Neither. I dont think the country is ready to elect a black man or a woman. Plus, they need more time to mature.
