Why/why not would you vote libertarian?

They don't have a chance for several years. Why waste a vote?

I take exception to that whole "Wasting a vote" thing. People vote how they feel that things should be run, if they are outnumbered then that''s just the nature of the democratic majority. Your voice was counted, it wasn't wasted by any means because you didn't vote for one of two guys.

The less people think in terms like that the more possible it will be to do away with the two party system we seem to be entrenched with.

The libertarian party will never have a chance if we don't vote for them now. Every vote given to the libertarian party helps the party's popularity. If the party only gets 0.001% of the vote, not many people will notice them. If all libertarians don't view their vote for their party as a waste and the party gets 5% of the vote, they will gain publicity with media coverage. As more people notice this party, the party will gain more supporters and their chance to win elections will grow over time.

Every vote to a Republican or Democrat supports a failed system and ensures they'll continue to get a majority of the votes in the future.

I'm planning to vote libertarian in November. How best to protest my party without voting for a democrat?

because without votes to be counted there isnt a hope for a future with a strong third party. libertarianism is the only true hope for that so we should support it.

I have supported the LBT party since I was 16 and I will continue to do so.However, the main thing that motivated most of us to become
libertarians is pragmatism and it is not the most pragmatic thing to vote for a LBT president in this day and age.

The best thing to do is to focus on the LBT candidates that stand the best chance of unseating incumbents in lower offices, and you have to be careful even with that. Also, it is good to vote for propositions that reduce the size of government and advocate freedom.

Sorry, I have to hold my nose and vote Dem this year,Since the neocons betrayed us all.

Because they need to win seats to get influence.

And they need influence to grow bigger and more powerful.

And they need to become bigger and more powerful if we ever want them to win the White House.
