ok. i'm 18 and i filled out one of those voter registration forms. it says that i need to have a california id card. i don't have one, so i went for the second option: giving the last 4 numbers of my social security number. so, i did that. i was just wondering if i can still vote. i guess california law says that you need to have proper identification in order to go into one of the booths. i was wondering if i could take my school id card with me (i graduated last june, but it has my picture). thanks.

Contact the voter registrar in the county of your residence for the answer.

Voter ID laws are falling like flies. The MO State Supreme Court just tossed the ID law here. You need the answer straight from the source for your district.

define "perfect". difficulty is, in some states they define it so narrowly that all of us is dropping the skill to vote I see no rationalization why the country ought to imitate different international places in springing up state issued IDs. can we then have the Gestapo end human beings on the line and yell "Papiern, schnell!"
