What percentage now wish that they could take their vote back?

2007-08-26 17:59:05 · 12 answers · asked by Ti 7

And now that hes decided its the Govts job to protect people from the weather that is typical to thier regions how long til he extends that protection to Florida. And while hes at it could he come here to Tornado Alley and promise to protect us from an F5 tornado. And then I would be really impressed if he could go to California and promise to protect them from a 9.9 Earthquake. And if he could do something about the ice storms in the midwest while hes not busy Id love that. Those crops are almost as important as New Orleans casinos and strip clubs. Is he making these promises to divert attention from the one thing he will never work to protect us from? Yes Im talking about terrorism. More people died on 911 than all US natural disasters. But thats no reason to work to make us safer from that real threat. I mean we all know its way more popular to stand around a bunch of flooded houses making false promises to those desparate people. Its called Band Wagoning Obama, and its insulting.

The term of my service was to be 8/6/07 to 8/17/07 (today's date is 8/26/07). I can't believe it completely slipped my mind until today when I was looking for a spot to put a football schedule up on the fridge! Does anyone think or know if it would be wise to call and just be honest about my pathetic memory and ask to be re-scheduled for another jury pool?

How is it that we the people do not have a say? Now it's WE THE LOBBIEST or WE THE SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP or WE THE CORRUPT POLITICIAN...We need to take back our country. Vote with your Tax Dollars! Hold your tax money back in escrow until we pull out of Iraq. (Note I DID NOT SAY DO NOT PAY TAXES) Just escrow the funds. How do we get this movement going? If millions of us vote with our $ instead of our useless two party votes we can make a difference!
How do we make a difference?

People wearing t-shirts with a John Kerry logo were ousted from Bush public appearances by strongarm security forces. Only Bush supporters who signed a Pledge of Loyalty were allowed at these speeches. Who among us would have the courage to don an opposition t-shirt to attend these so-called public meetings? Is it right for any President of a free country to exclude those who want to peacefully listen to him speak, yet want to wear a t-shirt loyal to their own political beliefs?

The best part about voting is that you can choose what you want to vote on. Start with your LOCAL issues if the fed stuff irritates you. Most people I talk to are unhappy with stuff on the federal end, and forget or choose to ignore the fact that they can make an impact on the local end. Town meetings, buget votes. Come on, give it a shot!

The Justice Department refuses to do anything about at least a dozen of these cases. Anyone who speaks out in the government sector is silenced or vilified. WHY? If you have information on corruption currently going on in Iraq, someone has to know about it. Create a website, post your findings, and tell the world. Shine enough light on something, and someone will notice. Don't let it become a crime to report crime in Iraq!

The last time I don't remember what group I was in but I had to go 3 days in a row til they finally chose their jurors and I was finally allowed to go home. They even made me transfer from one court to another!!!

It's without a doubt that the health care system in the U.S has received a lot of media coverage and is an important issue to politicians. According to studies, polls and research it's appearant that many people agree with its current state and many who feel they're not getting the best quality healthcare.

Are you, as a citizen of the U.S., concerned/worried about the current system we have in place and are happy with the healthcare you receive or are you for health care system reform and/or socialized health care?

The civil liberties I am referring to more specifically are:

1. The right to be presented with a warrant in order for any government agency to enter your home, to search you and to seize your property.
2. The right to habius corpus, ie. the right to an attorney's council.
3. The right to free speach and the right to assembly, including the right to vocally criticize policies you disagree with without impunity.
4. The right to have a court warrant issued in order for any government agency to engage in a secret wire tapping operation or in undisclosed data collection about you.
5. The right to a trial by your peers.

Some of these 'rights', once guaranteed by our Constitution and the Bill of Rights, are currently being sacrificed, and others have come into question, and all in the name of securing the nation.

If you had a choice, would you choose to give them up in order to feel safer? Do you feel safer?
