On Oct.7 2001, just before Afghanistan, and again at the State of the Union Address in 2003, just before Iraq, Bush warns time and time again that we're under imminent threat for bio-warfare. He proposes to spend $6 billion on something called Project BioShield to protect us from smallpox, Ebola, Ricin, and anthrax. Bush said Hussein had thousands of tons of biological weapons stockpiled and he was a clear and present danger, an imminent threat to the US.

We've since spent $500 billion on Iraq. The $6 billiion for BioShield is only $24 for each of us. Since Bush was so sure we were at risk, why weren't we worth $24 apiece on this so-called "War on Terror"? Did you ever get your BioShield or were all of us on another list? Lost in mail?

If he believed it, why didn't he spend it to "save" us? If he didn't believe it, why did he lie to us and to the entire world?

Isn't this maybe just a little worse than the Blue Dress?

And why did they name it "Project BS"?????

I think we should pick one of those things to fix. We would save more people and we could avoid gigantics wars with foreign countries!

How about this: Anyone who wants to run for public office designs a flyer, which is mailed by the government to the voters' homes, and if a determined number of people sign their support, this person is on the ballot and receives a certain amount from the government (based on the office and possibly other factors, number of people in voting pool, etc..) to spend on their campaign and are not allowed to spend a penny more.

if people don't like the fact that this comes from their tax money, keep in mind that when corporations finance campaigns, they're planning to get the money back from your tax money anyway.

any ideas, suggestions, criticism?

The Bush spy program gives our president more power than Joseph Stalin had. Seriously, that man is on a power trip that he doesn't want to relinquish. His megalomaniacal rule is costing us a devastatingly high price that we the Americans will have to pay for! He is consumed by his ego much like Napolean, Hitler, and King George II. How could we have allowed this to happen?

I belong to a social organization willing to change the bad political practices of our city, so we are designing a process to choose the best candidate out of a group of good people, but we don´t know how to do it.
We´ve thought about some kind of "reality", internet voting or hiring an opinion poll; we want something transparent, big, representative and with high impact.

I'm a US citizen (born in Minnesota) who has lived most of his life in Canada but still has the right to vote in the States. I just received a mail-in ballot for US Senator and US Representative District 5. Unfortunately, I know nothing about the candidates. I'll do some research before I vote, but was wondering if anyone knows dirt on any of the candidates. I usually vote Democrat, am anti-war, pro-choice, and basically want peace and love for everyone. Which horse do I back? Also, can someone please explain the roles of Senator and US Rep? AND, what is voting deadline ? (would you believe that info was not included in my ballot?!)

The man has clearly demonstrated that he has no credibility and is willing to lie at both the highest and lowest levels. Why do folks believe and accept what he says? And if they don't believe him, why don't people question what he says?

What's up with this? It's like all Democrats hate Republican presidents and all Republicans hate Democratic presidents. I think George W. Bush is a great president. I also think that we've had great presidents from both parties, excluding Bill Clinton. -CoUgH- Don't you think Democrats and Republicans as well as the other countries are envious of our president's success despite the hard times we've been in during the 21st century as well as the late 20th century?

Do you think - now that his friends are in Supreme Court - he can pull this off as well - like when he was selected for the first time as the President by Supreme court - dont forget he was not elected by the popular votes by the citizen of USA.

such as a congressman, that is left over after the election.

Both if they are elected, and if they are not elected. If there is a surplus in the campaign fund, what is, or can be done with it.

I have not been able to find this online. Does anyone know?

A convict broke into my house and was arrested here.
Weeks later, a police man came to my door and summoned me to court with a supena. The paper had a docket #, judge name and the works.
Yesterday I went to the court house to be the witness on stand but they said that there was no such court case ever. The name of the case was not in the system, docket # not in system.
Clerks office workers said the order was never issued by the state and was invalid.
What happened? Do you know what happened?
