The Bush spy program gives our president more power than Joseph Stalin had. Seriously, that man is on a power trip that he doesn't want to relinquish. His megalomaniacal rule is costing us a devastatingly high price that we the Americans will have to pay for! He is consumed by his ego much like Napolean, Hitler, and King George II. How could we have allowed this to happen?

I like pie and he's right it is Kool-Aid. Bending, he is chopping rules to little pieces. Maybe blowing up countries at will and allowing our country to get a few hundred billion dollars further into debt is the right thing, but I'mnot buying that crap.He is guilty of many things I agree. We should shred the Patroit Act. Him and his cronies are indeed diabolical =D. ALL HAIL PRESIDENT OF OZ! lol.... to the guy who went crazy and flipped his lid... what are you on pal. Doesn't seem to be helping, but I appreciate your heart felt response. I do politefully request that the next time you lecture someone on being hateful you LOWER YOUR VOICE! Coffee is bad for your teeth and has a negative effect on your health. Try water it's much more refreshing. Great answers so far guys =D

I agree, I don't think he has quite as much power as Stalin, but he certainly breaks plenty of laws, especially with the wiretapping buisness, everythign he did could have been done constitutionally (I still would have opposed it), unfortunately he couldn't be concerned with silly things like laws or morals...
And to people saying he only listens to international calls, that is 100% wrong, if you read the news today you'd see the program being challenged in court was his DOMESTIC wiretapping program...

We are at War, against Terrorism! The constitution states we can eavesdrop on private matters, if our safety is in jeopardy.
Looks like it worked. How many planes would have crashed and how many lives were saved. I wonder what you would be saying , right now if the terrorists would have succeeded. I will bet , you would have more Bush bashing, if they had!
Since you have aligned Bush , with all the above dictator's, tell me why he has to get the approval of the government , to do what he is doing. Dictator's just do it , no approval needed. Looks like some other countries helped us, the U.K. etc....
Finally! I know what Bush is doing to keep our country safe, Now can you please tell me , How would Democrats keep us safe?

They listen to overseas calls only. for words like planes hijack, bombs, kill. If they start a pattern they go after them. You aren't calling overseas saying stuff like that I wouldn't get to worried. Hell if George Bush wants to set down on the phone in my other room and listen to my call I could care less. with the Internet age you can get more info on anyone then the government would even care to know. There is no information you can't get on a person if you want to. and you don't need a subpoena to do it.

I absolutely agree with you. His excuse is the war on terror, but it all seems to be a strategy to gain more diabolical power. This world has become a worst place to live in because of him and his administration. People don't realize it yet, but these are some horrible times that we are experiencing, and it all started when he and his cronies came into power.

It's the selfish like you who is more concerned about "me" and "my rights" than the safety of Freedom and America.
Wake up and smell the coffee!
Or maybe you just have a short memory.
I hope you don't lose someone close one day due to terrorism. Maybe that's what it will take for you to get it.
It shouldn't be about crying that someone might here your conversation. That should be the least of your problems.

He is being misled by Roberto Gonzales on this one. He insists that it is perfectly legal, under the patriot act. What I want to know is when did the patriot act become more powerful then the constitution. Wire tapping is clearly in violation of the constitution.

I agree. I think things have gotten way out of control and Americana's every day loose more rights. America is not really home of the free. You only have rights if you have the money to afford legal representation. Poor people have their rights violated every day, so how long before middle income people loose theirs completely.

So they know who to disenfranchise.
This crap about how they only listen to al qaida is absolute ignorance... they had offices full of people listening to a lot of calls... how many al qaida do you really think are in the U.S.? They were listening to any call made between a U.S. citizen and a foreigner... including me when calling my fiancee, surely.
By the way, it's Kool-Aid.
