This question is closed to anyone under 40 please. Also try to keep it from being partisan. I know the left thinks they sold out and the right thinks they grew up. I am wondering on an individual basis, why did the children of the 60's who didn't trust the establishment become the establishment. From hippies to yuppies. And how did the generation of the environment and ideals become so close minded (both left and right wing)and stop caring. I would love to hear a former flower childs response of how they changed?

Have we become so polarized that we can no longer debate important issues without insulting each other? Has the right wing stooped to calling everyone aginst bush a terrorist and the left calling the right baby killers. Why can't we have an intelligent debate anymore?

for the company responsible for my accident to contact me re: settlement? They called me the day after, I called them back two days later with the information and now I'm waiting on them for an answer as to when I can bring them the information for them to make an offer. How long do I wait before going to a lawyer? Or should I go now? I've never been in this position before and so far I've paid $720 just for damages and injuries. Please, only serious answers, please.

Everybody keeps thinking terrorists will get ahold of another plane and crash it again - killing people... Sad to say, but what if 10 terrorist got ahold of 10 HUM-VEE's and mowed down people at a 4th of July parade? OR 10 terrorists strongarmed their way into a sports event and unloaded on people using automatic machine guns...Or 3 terrorists each strongarmed their way into like 20 American elementary schools killing all with machine guns.. These are terribel scenarios, and what is the government doing to protect us? Can you think of any plots?

Honda will be coming out with a leaseable hydrogen fuel cell car, the Honda FCX, in 2008. This vehicle will get around 550km per tank, or about 350 miles. You will probably have to have a home hydrogen reforming station that takes propane (C3H8) and breaks it apart and uses the hydrogen as fuel for your home and car. If you hate one of the following (oil, Bush, terrorists, Hugo Chavez, Nigerian Mafia...etc), leasing one of these cars would mean you would stop giving money that would eventually find it's way to those people.

Is it your civic duty to help defeat terrorists and the oil cartels in the Middle East by cutting down or stopping oil use all together?

Would you drive a hydrogen fuel cell car for that reason?

Just so you know, this question is not to bash liberals or Democrats.

I'm serious. I know you do have a sense of humor, or else Jon Stewart, Lewis Black, George Carlin, Robin Williams, and basically every great comedian would not exist.
I know you are tolerant, otherwise you would not be working so hard to promote peace and tolerance and equality between races, genders, and nationalities.
Therefore, I have to ask you, did I cross the line here?
I am a conservative and I asked a question about uniting the nation. So this whacko calling himself a liberal starts lambasting me for not being completely unbiased. Other liberals answered the question, and I even gave them a thumbs up even though I disagreed with some of them.
I really just wanted your comments. Which one of us actually tried to reach out to the other side of the aisle, in spite of past disagreements?

I primarily in Florida, but I have a vacation home in Colorado where I spend about 3 months a year. I pay all kinds of taxes, hire a lot of people, buy a lot of things there, etc. I definitely have a direct interest in the issues that go on there, especially the local issues. Would I have to give up my right to vote in Florida in order to vote there, or does an area have to be a primary residence in order for you to vote?

Apparently this past tenent (of our apartment) did not send a change of address form. I know I won't have to serve for them but I'm curious about what people do in this situation. Are you suppose to call the court? Just igore it? Also, if the police really come and you have to prove you're not this person.

The dirty little secret Neil Young, Roger Waters and Mick Jagger don't want you to know is that after the USA left Vietnam Pol Pot took over in Cambodia and killed tens of millions of people in Cambodia and Vietnam. They know the same thing will happen again should we run from Iraq. Iran will fund a civil war that will kill millions of people. Neil and his ilk want to ignore their role in this holocaust. Don't let them. Hold them accountable for what they did and don't let them get rich off of "protest songs" ever again and NEVER again leave millions to die!

How about those who volunteer to make the supreme sacrifice for this country's honor be granted an elevated supreme citizenship status. Above and beyond those granted to all citizen of the U.S.

Veterans would have their SSN amended to reflect their service. Their votes would weighted with greater importance. They would be considered first in all hiring in the US. Their tax burden would be reduced. Jury trials of honorable discharged veterans could only be juried by honorable discharged veterans. Veterans would receive greater social security benefits, and so on.

Theses elevated rights would be granted retroactively to cover all honorably discharged U.S. Vets.

And, yes I served honorably 5 years U.S. Army Airborne!
