I'm thinking about adoting a rabbit but I don't know how he/she will get along with my 2 yr. old female cat. I've done a lot of research before hand but have never really concluded if they are ok around another species (especially a cat). my female kitty is a very passive cat and doesn't really care about any new additions so I don't think she'll be that aggresive. she's a very sweet cat. but, I just don't know about the rabbit. is there any type of breed that gets along well with cats or dogs? since I have a cat, should I adopt a male or female rabbit? I already know what rabbits eat and how to take care of them etc. he/she will probably be spayed/neutered. even though I'm only getting one. I don't want any accidents. this is the only thing that is keeping me from adopting one at the moment. I'm not sure. my vet doesn't really know if rabbit and cats tolerate each other well or not. I'm kind of leaning towards a female. which do you think? Thanks!

My goals in life are to become a horse trainer/instucter/barn owner. I've worked hands on, and read everything i can get my hands on about horses. I even created the barn that i wish to have...the only problem is my famiy doesn't belive in me so it seems. They never listen to be, and just laugh at my goal. It's like they think that it's just a dream, not a goal. It really upsets be because i am very determend to make it happen. I just don't know how to make them understand that, so how can i?

I decided to live in the city, so I'm 40 miles from a job that I commute to 4 days a week. I'd love to get a pet and I figure a bunny could be a good playmate considering I can't take him/her for walks throughout the day. I've read that you can potty train them to go on newspaper and then let them roam around your apartment.

But would it be unfair to leave him/her to his/her own devices in my apartment 4 days a week? What are the kinds of toys you get a bunny?

I perceive that dogs fit in and actually try to fit it with humans, it seems, while cats always remain the outsiders who demand worship and catering to.

That's how it seems to me but I'd like your opinions on this important matter.

I was feeding a wild one yesterday in the park. It was less than a year old..and was very friendly. It walked right up to me as I was feeing squirrels and raccoons. It didn't smell at all, and was DAMN cute. It muched away at the cookes I was dropping on the ground.

I woudn't want to have one go through surgery to remove its scent glands, though it would have to be done to live in a house. I wonder how easy it would be to raise one domestically?
