It's on the internet, but no one in news (papers/TV) is touching the story that Edwards had an affair and the woman is pregnant. It is in the Enquirer today, but don't discount that rag. They deal in scandal, but they have been right more times than wrong.

I am not anti-Edwards, just trying to figure it out. The silence is deafening, odd for the media, which thrives on scandal!

Useful idiot Ken Martin of the FCC just threw We The People under the bus in an effort to boost the profits for the biggest of the media. The move came "despite objections from consumer groups and a threat by some senators to revoke the action." http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/mediaownership_fcc_dc
How is this possible? How long are we going to let the government spit in our faces? Who is Ken Martin and who does he think he is?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking Islam here, but what kind of sick people are these? Your thoughts please?

http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/article-23428447-details/British+children+targeted+with+terror+sing-along+DVD+for+would-be+suicide+bombers/article.do

A shocking sing-along children's DVD which glorifies suicide bombing is being investigated by anti-terrorist police after being found on sale in one of Britain's terrorist hotbeds.

The disc - part of an Egyptian-made series - is on sale in West Yorkshire, where three of the July 7 bombers lived, and is aimed at youngsters from the local Muslim community.

Introduced by a cute cartoon chicken, it contains three songs in Arabic which are illustrated with a video story. But any impression of its being an innocent music DVD is immediately dispelled by a song with English subtitles about two children who lose their mother when she blows herself up in a suicide bomb attack.

Got this by email a while ago. True?
PLEASE, respectful opinions toward Jews + Muslims. There’s enough hatred in the world already.

“Disgrace for England!
In England every memorial of the holocaust has been removed from the schools study programs, arguing that it hurts the Muslim population that denies the holocaust
That is… terrifying evidence of how easily countries can give in to anti-Semitism.It has been more than 60 years since the end of World War 2 in Europe as England didn't lift a finger to save the Jews that were Butchered by the Germans and now they are Boycotting Israel Academy and removing the Holocaust from the schools study programs
Let us remember those 6 million Jews, 20 million Russians, 10 million Christians, and 1900 catholic priests, that have been murdered, raped, burnt, starved to death, and humiliated by Nazis.
Considering the efforts of Iran and others denying the Holocaust, it is crucial to do whatever it takes to ensure that the World never forgets."

We read with little surprise that the worlds most infamous serial child neglectors and MAIN SUSPECTS are back in the frame thanks to new forensics evidence.

Police in Portugal are maintaining their case that Madeleine died in the flat on the night of 3 May and that Kate and Gerry remain prime suspects.

Looks as if all the money spent by the McConns has not worked in throwing the Police off the scent, or persuading the general public that they are 'innocent'

Will we se the two neglectors charged in the New Year ?

"Schadenfreude - is a German word meaning 'pleasure taken from someone else's misfortune'"

I bet some people think that word sums me right up ..........

To be fair its slightly true, but often I say things to stir it up around here.

Except for the McCanns who I genuinely don't like for 2 reasons.

a) The neglect of all 3 of their children.

b) Their refusal to accept that what they did constituted neglect.

"LONDON (Reuters) - Children are dying for lack of drugs tailored to their needs, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO), which launched a global campaign on Thursday to promote more research into child medicine.

More than half the drugs currently used to treat children in the industrialised world have not been specifically tested on youngsters, even though they metabolise medicines differently to adults.

As a result, clinicians lack clear guidelines on the best drug to use and often have to guess at the correct dose.

The problem is even worse in developing countries where price remains a major barrier and 6 million children die each year from treatable conditions.

In the case of HIV/AIDS, the few existing paediatric therapies developed for children generally cost three times more than adult ones."

Everyone should know about this and do what they can to remedy the situation.

Al Jazeera (Arabic: الجزيرة, al-ğazīrä, [al.dʒaˈziː.ra], meaning "The Island", referring to the Arabic name for the Arabian Peninsula) is a television network headquartered in Doha, Qatar. Initially launched as an Arabic news and current affairs satellite TV channel with the same name, Al Jazeera has since expanded into a network with several outlets, including the Internet and specialty TV channels in multiple languages, and in several regions of the world.

The original Al Jazeera channel's willingness to broadcast dissenting views, including on call-in shows, created controversies in Persian Gulf States. The station gained worldwide attention following the September 11, 2001 attacks, when it broadcast video statements by Osama bin Laden and other al-Qaeda leaders (see Videos of Osama bin Laden).

When it comes to really important issues, there is no difference whatsoever between them. For example, in the latest bill to spend billions upon billions of US dollars on the war in Iraq--a war that has been a complete and utter failure from the get go--the Democrats voted the same as the Republicans. And the main reason, of course, is that they are all told what to do by the big military money interests, plus they get a few personal threats from the FBI or CIA to keep 'em in line, like good little puppets. It's amazing that most Americans haven't caught on to the way the game works. Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee may spell their names different, but you can't tell one from the other.

This is a broad question, and can be interpreted differently.

But basically how would you do your part in the world?

For instance, I want to go to India to talk about birth control with women, or go to Africa to discuss AIDS and how it gets transmitted.
