Yesterday at my school, much to my suprise, we didn't acknowledge the terrorist attack victims, no moment of silence, nothing not even a mention.
The next day (today) I asked around and apperently people/places, such as schools, are trying to reduce the amount of attention it gets to relieve tention associated with the attacks.
What are your opinions on this? Should schools, especially mine in NY state which has more families affected by the attacks than most places, completely ignore 9/11 in hopes people will stop thinking about it? Was it disrespectful of our school to do this? I'm going to write an article in our schools news paper about this so I would appreciate everyone opinions.
