Well, I'm sure it has been said before, but all minority groups protest on a regular basis, whether it's because they are treated like a social outcasts, looked over for promotion, victimised in any way, I just wish for once they would consider the fact that perhaps some-one just does not like them (sexual preference- need not come into it) or they were just not good enough for the job! Now I have red hair, you don't hear me saying regularly that I didn't get what I wanted because of that (people wouldn't dare - apparently we redheads have a temper). I also believe those who have issues with gays are more than a little uncertain of their own sexuality.

What kind of news are you watching that you see them in the news so much to even ask?
Mainly because the movement for gay rights is something that is big... Back in the day when Black people didnt have rights, they were in the news all the time, now its the norm, hence no longer on constant watch. Now the cycle continues with the gay.

Because unfortunatley they are not treated or viewed equally in society, so therefore the press view stories involving gay men & lesbians as a sensationalist angle, making a story more "interesting". It provokes the christain right into condemnation, and the liberal left into protction of the minorities, they print the stories, sit back & watch the fireworks.

Because they're sick & tired of getting 0% of the Respect that Society offers everybody ELSE. If Straight people INSIST on ignoring or challenging their right to be treated as equals, then Gay's are gonna be "out there", making alot of "noise"- & demanding THEIR share of the action. And they're NOT going to "go away" -until we start listening, & DO something about it. :)

The Christian right wing nuts jobs can't just let people be....
They incorectly believe that gays realy want to be straight... funny enough, they believe that gays can breed.. which seems to be their biggest concern...
Now.. try this test... ask any grown male right wing born again nut job, what he thinks of "two women making out"... most will think about it, smile, and get sexually arroused... and tell you it's wrong!...
Bunch of two faced idiots..
Let people be what they want to be.

They are in the news because that's what sells newspapers! Violence and disaster are in the news because they also sell newspapers. When the Religious Right stops "bashing" them, they will fade away into the background again.

Because they have clout (have big financial backing), stick together (pardon the pun), and are in your face.
How I wish all working people could unite in a similar way, and fight for better paying jobs.

Because it sells newspapers, gets ratings, generates controversy, etc. The media is full of crap, and will exploit anything to make a buck. Do yourself a favor, and stop listening to them.
