The girl that threatened the other girl said she was going to use a gun, so she could probably get a gun at her parent's house, but where is the other girl suppose to get a bazooka at to shoot and miss at the girl that threatened her.

I don't think that young girl thought through the scenerio very well, but she is only 9 years old, so even thinking of something like this was a big job for her.

Also, the sheriff department are trying to come up with a punishment for the 9 year old. What do you think the punishment should be? The little girl obviously has mental problems, and because of her age, it makes it difficult to label her a criminal.

I think the young girl should never be allowed back at the YMCA until she undergoes professional psychological help to determine if she can be trusted around people without having an adult around her whenever she is around other children.

Kids, especially at this age, threaten each other all the time over one thing or the other. The term "Bazooka" should tell the story, anyone knowing what a "bazooka" is should know all to well that girl would never be able to even pick one up. let along know how to shoot one, only threaten to use it.

We, as adults are reading far to much into this. The mother is also reading to much into it, and, doesn't even have the note the girl supposedly wrote.
I would recommend counseling but, other then that, stop making a big deal over it and "punishment" what are you talking about here, haven't you ever, in your life,, threatened anyone? we all have at one time or the other. She's a nine year old for Pete's sake. Forget it and stop making such a deal over it.

Good God, they are 9 year old girls. Tomorrow they would have been playing with barbies together. Why make a federal case out of something so silly?
Im amazed some nutjob doesnt get HomoLand Security involved, label her a terrorist and send the kid to Gitmo.

I think it is a bunch of hyper parents with over active imaginations and kids who were stupid enough to put their play on paper.
I know I say neither kid is allowed to have any sugar or junk food for 2 months. After all ,that's what started their little tiffy fight.

She should be sentenced to mandatory counselling for atleast 9 months, twice a week.
