That's what bugs me. Especially since if the parent had been a single mother on benefits living on an estate her twins would be snatched away & the only way she'd get media coverage is for being so irresponsible.
The McCann's, on the other hand, aren't they in the medical career? They bore me, I'm not that interested in their jobs.

I have been following this case quite avidly. Quite honestly i dont think the Portugese police have the first clue as they flit from one scenario to the next, first Murat and the searches on his home, then following up sightinings of Maddie, not impounding the hire car....ect. I think that the DNA in the car could have been transferred....it is not beyond the realms of possibility. The hire car was not hired for 5 weeks after Maddie disappeared, so anyone could have been in it!! It could have been a friend or relative of someone who had hired it. I couldnt say if the McCanns have done anything, but with the evidence we have heard up to now there is nothing to prove they definately have. Yes they were dumb, not clever as the media portrays them, dumb and stupid to leave their kids. They had this " It wont happen to us" belief. Well it has and they have to pay the terrible consequences. I think anyone who makes assumptions of their guilt at this stage is stupid. We need to know all the facts.......but can we trust the evidence we hear?? Until something more solid comes out I guess we will never know, and it will be one of those mystery cases that goes on forever like the Jon Benet Ramsay case.

What do you mean "What facts do you have " ??? the simple thing is that it is the prosecute who needs facts are people are innocent till proved guilty
I think all the hype around this case is macabre to say the least with so many folks having a point of view
The simple thing is that a little girl has gone missing and whatever the rights and wrongs connected to the case the parents must be going through Hell
All of the media coverage is obscene !!! if I lived in the area where they are gathering each day and night I would be hopping mad and be asking the police to get shot of them and stop disturbing my space .
Who is ever going to accept what the Portuguese police come up with as they have been so awful in the way they have handled from the start .

I don't know if they're involved in her disappearance or not. I do believe they've been acting really strangely, and why they should need a firm of PR consultants beats me. I think a lot of people are resentful of the glowing press they've received from the UK press, when they behaved very badly in leaving the children alone in a strange country, and as professionals, should really have know better.
Some of the theories tick a lot of the boxes, but in my deepest heart I don't think so, I can't tell you why, just a gut feeling.
I hope I'm right, and I pray Madeleine is found soon. Unharmed.

i think of their behaviour is extremely fishy and has been from the commencing up. yet all we get interior the british press and television is team McCann's point of view fed lower back to us uncritically plus, as kevin stated, the racist point of view on the portuguese police (howdy, yet it incredibly is okay, they're white, you're allowed to trash them). Did everyone be conscious Gerry McCann's 'double blinking' consistently for the duration of interviews? i'm sorry yet they don't seem or act like grieving mothers and dads and the 'all of us be attentive to Madeleine is alive' line would be construed as obstructive - how did they be attentive to that? Why did they say it so aggressively - to place the police off for searching for a lifeless physique? And apart from, what an abuse of the money form human beings despatched it for his or her have faith. i assume they gained't be using it to run a libel case now, huh? yet how approximately to pay for his or her very own defence? How cynical of them. What got here approximately to their plans to get a private detective with it, in the event that they have been so pissed off by capacity of the police? Oh perfect - replaced their minds approximately that did they - i ask your self why.

Couldn't agree more with tgibbyson!
I'd just like to add, that so many people are condemning them for murder/manslaughter purely on the basis that they left their children unattended, and their 'actions' and body language since. While I think we all agree that they were so wrong to leave their children, it doesn't make them evil and capable of murder/manslaughter.
I don't regard myself as 'pro McCann' but I do believe in stepping back and looking at the bigger picture and not being brain washed into the evil witch hunt which is taking place on this site. Think about that night. How was it possible for them to dispose of their daughter's body in the time they had? They were with other members of their family, were they in on it too? The car was a hire car, one which has been used by numerous people before the McCanns who hired it 25 days after Madeleine went missing. I could go on and on and on, but the fact is it doesn't stack up, there are too many holes in the claim that they are guilty.

well I believe it is just common sense - They are well educated doctors -no history of violence - clearly from the mouths of EVERYONE who knows them -they love & adore their children. They took them on vacation as opposed to leaving them with grandma - if they didn't love them, why not leave them and go on a selfish vacation? I just don't believe that Gerry & Kate got together one day and said "Let's muder our first born child together - it'll be great" - I absolutely don't believe that - All of the media attention the stirred up was so people would be aware to look for Maddie - If I killed my child I would try to sweep it under the rug and try to get everyone to forget about it - as would most people.
And - no FACTUAL evidence has come out - the only evidence people convict them on is because they left her alone - CLEARLY a horrible mistake - but that's all the Mccann haters have on them - They can't say because of how they show emotion - they don't know these people - they also don't know how they would react in the public eye - And people on here try to say "kate always has her make up on and looks good" - well not to me - I think she looks tired and worn and like she's been drug by a semi-truck. The makeup just helps her look a little better. And so the list goes on why I think they are innocent - but people that think they are guilty only have those2 things to say - Ofcourse they are going to say DNA - but they were her parents - ofcourse they have her DNA- hell they share her DNA - just read the article on bbc about the expert that invented the DNA fingerprint - Also they will say her hair has been found in the trunk - this is hearsay- Like i said - NO FACTUAL evidence! How can the police just now decided that they could have something to do with it? Parents are the first ones they usually look at - well they didn't do that til 4 months later?? I think I would be getting my own DNA expert too!
**i will probably get backlash about stating they are well educated doctors - just to clear that up - they are smart enough to know they couldn't get away with murder-
Edit:
Exactly as I stated - that's the only so called "evidence" you have - the fact that they left them alone - come up with something better- ofcourse - as i stated already - leaving them alone was a BIG Mistake - read my answer again - Slowly this time- you'll see it in big letters

Quite simply there are no facts so far to prove otherwise.Indeed I do not think there is, as far as I know, irrefutable evidence that she isn't still alive.
Innocent until proven guilty.
The results of the British tests are just that results and would not on their own convict anyone of anything.

I am not "pro McCann". I am, however, pro justice.
Let the proper authorities decide if a case needs to be answered. Don't buy into the media scrum surrounding this tragic case.
You don't need facts to prove innocence.

And what facts do you have to prove that they did kill Madeleine.
I am not pro or anti the McCanns but I refuse to join the witch hunt on YA that is determined to convict them of Infanticide before they are even charged.
