It is a lighthearted, fun/serious type of paper that is easily digestable on your break. They sometimes have some brilliant campaigns like beating animal cruelty or sorting out gypsies or increasing prison spaces.

Yeah, some of the stories, especially about celebrities, may be exageratted or even falsified but so what. If I wanted to know about the global warming and oil crisis in India I would look it up on the net. Most people are not stupid enough to take all of the stories literally.

I just can't stand pompous, arrogant judgemental snobs who say that the Sun is just for morons.

So shove that up your pipe and smoke it.

Everytime I get bored with whatever I'm watching, I switch it to Fox News and it's like a heroin or cigarette addict getting there fix.

I never used to give a toot about 24 hour news networks until the events of 9/11/01 occurred.

The New York Times gave Moveon.org almost a $100,000 discount on the ad? So much for an unbiased media, huh. Petraeus hadn't even given his testimony yet, and he was condemned...and apparently with the tacit approval of the New York Times.

Did they do this because it rhymns? The ad says everyone knows the surge isn't working, so since the general says it is, he must be lying, betraying us. I've seen lots of news reports indicating the surge has worked.

Does moveon.org just want us to lose?

Here's the text of the ad:

The Los Angeles Times revealed that the Clinton campaign had been warned that fundraiser Norman Hsu was involved in a suspicious ponzi scheme

At an appearance in New York this week, Clinton vowed that her campaign would "continue to analyze all contributions and take action if that's warranted."

The guy who filmed it waited and filmed around 26 jumpers off the golden gate bridge in a year. Isn't he, or anyone else supposed to call the police if he see's someone trying to hurt themselves? Isn't there a law against what he did?

I ask this because with soo much news happening world wide, all I see and hear on CNN is gossip news about political sex scandals.
Soo much time devoted to such bull, like that really matters to most poeple, that some senators is in the rest room looking for sex, geesh o.k. maybe one or twice you can listen to the stuff, but seeing the same stuff, hour after hour, day and night.
I'll exclude Anderson Cooper from this kind of reporting, He and his crew really put their lives on the line for true and responsable journalism.
Most news looks like it's edited to show happy happy stuff, all is well and nothing to worry about.
Allso I notice that when poeple are intervued on most events, they're mostly white, blond, blue eyed americans. Hey, many other people can allso speak english fluently.
Why dont we see more intervues with hispanics, asians, native americans, african americans, etc.
I guess in commercial journalism, they have to please the sponsers and not necesaraly the public.

I'm not too entirely sure if this is indeed a real song or not, but here are the lyrics
Bonjour monsieur Lundi

Well actually a French teacher of mine was teaching us a song like this, and for some reason I found it er... intriguing when she sang it. I tried google and all, but can't find an answer. I'd like to know if this is even a real song, and the name of it possibly.

Yahoo has listed the story titled "U.S. woman said imprisoned, abused in W.Va race crime" on its Odd News Page.

http://news.yahoo.com/i/757;_ylt=AsYog95q6Jv_yhsC_yLRAqCs0NUE

Considering that she was held, beaten, and sexually assaulted for a week, calling it Odd News seems wrong. How do I tell them?
