The guy who filmed it waited and filmed around 26 jumpers off the golden gate bridge in a year. Isn't he, or anyone else supposed to call the police if he see's someone trying to hurt themselves? Isn't there a law against what he did?

i know he wasn't anywhere near the jumpers but he could have made a call to alert the authorities.

I saw it and it was fascinating. I spent time in the bay area a few years ago and people talk about the people who go there to kill themselves. Some go over the side as soon as they get there and there is no chance to call but I thought I also saw that this guy did make some calls to authorities. It is true that he filmed from some distance away and likely could not personally intervene. The bridge authority has cameras and watches for jumpers as well but they seldom can prevent them. Sometimes motorists will stop and grab people when it appears they are there to jump. It was an incredibly powerful documentary don't you think?

I saw a show on this documentary and it showed some clips of people jumping off the bridge. As far as I know, he didn't violate any laws. Of the clips I saw, he wasn't close enough to the jumpers to have been able to try to persuade them not to jump.
