Because they are the best news source. Other news channels seem to be one-sided. Fox is open to all sides. That is what makes good news. So I guess that I'm an addict also...make that an addict to quality news sources....Fox News.

You sound like my husband. He never watched news regularly until 9/11 either. He started watching FOX and I found that I liked a lot of their programming too. (One show I never watch is Greta's! Man can she beat a dead horse.)
You also must have a conservative lean. As much as I like FOX, I don't believe them when they say they're balanced. They certainly lean more to the right. But that's OK. CNN leans more to the left as does ABC, CBS, and NBC.

Humans are naturally drawn to sensationalism and disasters, that's why they get so many viewers.
I do the same thing w/CNN.
I have found after awhile it gets repetitive and old.
I think the most ammusing thing they do these days is actually broadcast live in the eye of a hurricane. Unable to barely stand up in the rain and the wind.

I watch Fox but I also watch CNN and HLN. I like to watch Hannity and Colmes because I can get both points of views and make up my own mind of who is being more truthful. There are times when I agree with Alan and times I agree with Sean Although, when Sean starts whining, it makes me sick and the same as when Alan starts talking with a forked tongue. They both have their good and bad points. I like to watch Lou Dobbs on CNN and at times I'll watch Glen Beck on HLN.
Bill O'reilly claims to be an independent but he is full of donkey dust. He is more of a conservative than he thinks and as far as his "No Spin Zone", bull pucky, I've caught him spinning quite a few times.
All in all, I watch several News Stations and then read between the lines. (or listen between the lines.)

You should log on to littlegreenfootballs.com and also pajamas media.
It will be an antidote to "code pink" and the other freakazoids such as the "truthers" who think 9/11 was an inside job.

It's like watching two trains coming at each other on the same track at high speed. No matter how much you may not want to look, you just can't help taking a peek.

I don't think you want news, you want entertainment. Missing blondes in Aruba, dead blondes in the Bahamas, custody battles anywhere, car chases, Britney Spears watch. That's ok, but it's not news.

Fox Noise uses slick promotions, cool looking graphics, and somewhat attractive (but not bright) blondes to suck you into their world of right-wing propaganda.
