He was INFECTIOUS....guess you don't care if he gets you, your kids or your elders sick to the point they can die?
He got what he deserved...money or no money when you're sick with something infectious stay home.
You owe society that much.

You're right, it is dumb, but people do it every day in this country, mostly because they don't have sick days and because they need the money. I remember when I was in high school they put a big emphasis on perfect attendance (and even had a drawing on the last day of school for all those who had perfect attendance, and that person won a car) and you know that some of those kids had to have come to school sick and infected other kids, which isn't a good thing either. The same thing happens in the workplace, people come to work sick and infect other people.

I don't think it's dumb. It's actually practical.
In the place where you work, do you want an officemate who's sick to spread a disease (for example, the cold virus)?
That move was actually aimed to prevent the healthy workers from contracting the disease of the sick worker.

This girl in my office has been sick for about two weeks. She coughs all day, moans, groans, and drinks sodas all day. She should go home and drink some OJ. I got a little sick for about 12 hours last week, but I'm OK now. She's STILL sick! I'm sick of it.

I can very well believe someone is this dumb, there have been times when workers especially in the food industry have Hep.C. and go to work, preparing food for you and me. Dumbness abound.

The guy worked at a bakery. Do you really want someone coughing and hacking while working with food that you might be eating?

the only human beings spinning whats going on in Iraq are the Liberals interior the media. they like each and all of the unfavourable popping out of Iraq. in the event that they'd't get every person to tell them something unfavourable than they make it up themselves. stupid Libs.
