They always love a celebrity and can't stop boasting about him or her. Then they love making fun of them and watching them and their careers fall to peices! It drives me nuts. No other country's media does this except ours.

I'm writing a news story for journalism, and I'm doing a story on a man who died of cancer. Does anyone know, or know where I can find the average number of people who die yearly of cancer? It'd help a ton!

I know I'm a good writer. I'm planning on returning to school (college) this coming fall. My problem is I am seriously stuck between 3 career choices, all of which I am good at. (Near genius IQ, needed GIFTED classes throughout school because I have to be challenged) I know that I have always excelled with my essays, school paper articles, and so on. I used to write for a soap opera website, but it was volunteer because the whole site was run that way. It was created by someone who loved soap's and he got started out by having help from those of us who could write and watched tv as well. My real issue is, before I decide which classes I am returning to take, which career path I would like to follow, is I would like to see if there is an audience for my writing style, or if I'm just fooling myself. So that is my basis for the above question, kinda would like to test run some work to see if that's really what I want to do with my life.

If you have ever used Associated Content.com please tell me your experience. I'm considering a journalism career, and even if I don't I still write anyways for the love of it. Kinda a hobby of mine, anyways, I don't want to get myself into something bad or not professional. So I'm looking for anyone who's used Associated Content.com and what they did with their works, and what they thought of the site and process in general. Thank you!

In what ways has thinking critically influenced the way you read, write, and process information? How will you continue to use critical thinking skills in the future? As you evaluated information presented in articles, advertising, media, and conversations, what surprised you most?
