If you have ever used Associated Content.com please tell me your experience. I'm considering a journalism career, and even if I don't I still write anyways for the love of it. Kinda a hobby of mine, anyways, I don't want to get myself into something bad or not professional. So I'm looking for anyone who's used Associated Content.com and what they did with their works, and what they thought of the site and process in general. Thank you!

I love AC I just started but so far i like it. It is still in beta testing so there are going to be a few bumps in the road. Basically they use your content's keywords to get hits from Google. Right now they are catching up with offers on articles with a wait of 5 to 11 business days. They fell behind because of the recent blizzards in Denver. If you subscribe to the newsletter you will get a list of articles they want written and will offer you a min. payment for well written content. You can also write about almost anything you want and submit it for a payment. They pay through paypal and are really easy to use. Just make sure you cite all of your sources since they will ban your account if you just copied and pasted your article from other websites.

As far as breaking news goes they posted this message about a new policy on payment for such content:

"Be the first to cover breaking news! Whether you've witnessed something newsworthy or have a pulse on the national news, we want you to write about it on AC! For a limited time, we're sending a minimum of $5 for your hard or soft news. Break an original story and we'll send way more.

Here are the details:
- Use the News template to submit your story of at least 400 words to AC.
- Use full source citations for any and all synthesized stories.
- Keep it objective - you can always submit your take on an issue to the AC Op/Ed section.
- Proper spelling and grammar only, please. "

Hope my answer helps, you can contact me with any additional questions about AC.
