They always love a celebrity and can't stop boasting about him or her. Then they love making fun of them and watching them and their careers fall to peices! It drives me nuts. No other country's media does this except ours.

The American media has become "big business"..it's purpose is to "sell" not inform....or educate...today "responsible" journalism is rarely practiced even if writers or editors want to....ethics are scorned just like they are in any other "big business" in America, like Enron and Worldcom. Sometimes, capitalism can be too much of a "good thing", when it's not checked by what is good for the community at large...

That's how they make money. Celebrities think they are so loved, they wouldn't believe how much people are out to hurt them. I respect celebrities that stay away from the media.

Because real ethics in journalism no longer matters. because now we are tuned into infotament and they have to keep us watching in order to get those ratings.
