And, how the Bush administration is using the same lies of the 1960's administrations to escalate the Vietnam war. I think being concerned about Iran is justified, but how do we not know this is another bunch of lies by the Bush administration to invade Iran?

Two other things come to mind: The first is that I'm presuming that everyone now knows that Valerie Plame was investigating Iran and possible nukes in that country before she was outed by the Cheney regime. And, That the entire region of the mid-east is involved in Iraq. Iran is selling arms to Iraq through the black market and that it isn't necessarily through it's government.
And, second, that Saudi's are selling arms to the Sunni's in Iraq as well. Saudi ARabia and Iran hate eachother.
Now, in light of this, do you really think this entire region's problem can really be solved militarily? It seems the war has made matters100 times worse in destabilizing.

They were on the tube. They had (thankfully faulty) bombs, they pulled the ignition switch, their homes had manuals, videos, plans the lot.

They have pleaded not guilty.

Is anyone else as fascinated as I am by what on earth their defence is going to be? (Defence as in "we didn't do it" rather than "we did it but it was right")

There is a lot of unrest in the middle east right now. Civil war in Iraq, and sectarian violence in Afghanistan, and violence in Lebanon. Could we be looking at World War?

Dixie Chicks went five for five at the 29th Annual Grammy Awards winning the big three general categories: Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year, as well as Best Country Album and Best Country Performance By a Duo or Group. Recently the State Department published its annual report which was filled with inaccurate numbers as to the amount of terrorist acts which occurred over the past year and the amount of victims who lost their lives. The State Department first hailed the report as proof of the positive impacts of the War on Terrorism. Once influential congressional figures questioned the reports validity, the State Department acknowledged the errors and then stated that the "State Department retracts the terrorism assertion and corrected the report. Thus the new report will show a 'sharp increase' in the amount of terrorist acts and victims killed globally." This article was published by CNN on Thursday, June 10, 2004 Posted: 9:37 PM EDT.

The article goes on to say that Colin Powell denied that the errors were politically motivated, but many in Congress have challenged him on this issue.
The above mentioned policy report which was the subject of great debate both in the media and the international community. The State Department has made corrections, yet many in Congress call for a hearing in order to investigate the State Department's misinformation.
