And, how the Bush administration is using the same lies of the 1960's administrations to escalate the Vietnam war. I think being concerned about Iran is justified, but how do we not know this is another bunch of lies by the Bush administration to invade Iran?

Two other things come to mind: The first is that I'm presuming that everyone now knows that Valerie Plame was investigating Iran and possible nukes in that country before she was outed by the Cheney regime. And, That the entire region of the mid-east is involved in Iraq. Iran is selling arms to Iraq through the black market and that it isn't necessarily through it's government.
And, second, that Saudi's are selling arms to the Sunni's in Iraq as well. Saudi ARabia and Iran hate eachother.
Now, in light of this, do you really think this entire region's problem can really be solved militarily? It seems the war has made matters100 times worse in destabilizing.

McCain hasn't lost his mind, He's myopically focused it on becoming president. Like every other politician, asking him not to lie, cheat or steal to achieve his goals is akin to asking a snake to get up and walk. The snake would probably try to do it, but slithering about is it's nature.
Don't forget that 30% of the wealth generated in America is distibuted among the richest 10%. They and their children are making money in Iraq, they're just not serving there.

I think we should prepare Baghdad as best we can to defend itself, and then head for the borders to make certain Iran and Syria cannot continue to slip arms across the border, All of a sudden, the armored US Humvees are pierced by short fire missiles produced by Iran. You and I both know Iraq cannot produce that type of weaponry. Iran and Syria desperately want the US to leave the area. They will both scramble to place an authority figure in place who could possibly be worse than Saddam... if that is even feasible. The Saudi's need the US to stay , or they are sunk. The sad truth, if we stay... or if we go... we are in a desperate quagmire with more body bags lining up every day. Iraq canot even conduct a town hall meeting much less produce a democracy.

The problem can be solved, but it wont.

Perhaps when 3 or 4 mushrooms arise,(here, of course) the mettle will be back.
