I live in the Mississippi Gulf Coast...I did before, during and now after Hurricane Katrina hit. Being a part of it the whole time and just today hearing about a song/video that U2 and Green Day did about Katrina and New Orleans got me thinking again. Of all the people out there who do not live in "affected areas" of the hurricane, when you hear or read the words "Hurricane Katrina", just WHERE, not what but where do you think of first? Now that I've asked that I'm going to rant a bit...keep in mind, the hurricane did not hit New Orleans, the damage done there, although it could have been affected by the high winds and rain, it has been proven that just a really big rainstorm could have done the same...Ray Nagin even admitted that NO's issues were a DIRECT result of human error and stupidity and not neccessarily the hurricane. Other celebrities have said the same but still bothers me to think that so many people still believe the hurricane "hit" New Orleans, b/c it didn't.
