If you don't know the reason obviously it wouldn't make sense to you.
Just be thankful that we have leaders who are aware with what is happening in the world today and taking the necessary action to resist the forces of Islamic extremism that has been growing over the last decade or so.
It was the stand made by our fathers' generation against the expansionist excesses of the communists that led to its collapse.
There will always be wars of good against evil and thankfully there will be those who will be prepared to stand up and be counted.
Judging by the thread of your question you either support the growth of Islamic extremism or at least are the type not to make a stand against it.

Somelia has long been a Bush diversion country. As Bush 41 was leaving office in 1992, he had American forces invade Somelia ( and the CNN reporters and cameras were on the beach filming the marines coming ashore) while on Christmas eve., he pardoned all participants in the Iran/ Contra Scandal using the Somelia invasion as a smoke screen to divert attention. "If to Somelia he goes, then it's smoke that blows".

Try attempting to keep up with the news instead of going to default "Bush is so dumb". The last several weeks Ethiopian and the UN recognized Somolian government have been fighting the ICU (a Taliban like coalition of Islamic courts). After ICU lost control of all their cities the US was able to track them. Once they all had gathered together we killed them, hoping to prevent them from making a guerilla campaign in the future. Oh, and Clinton was also involved in Somolia...Black Hawk Down anyone?

Hey, John. It's in Somalia. So if the US is dropping bombs, for whatever reason, then they ARE bombing Somalia.
But, anyway, all the news seems to say is airstrikes by AC 130 gunships. Doesn't say anything about bombing. Lots of bodies. No evidence yet whether these bodies are dead terrorists or "collateral damage".

GEORGE BUSH IS AN ANTICHRIST!!! He has made it his life long duty to destroy this world. This man went looking for terrorists in one area. (like they all live together). There were people from every country involved in 9/11 and Bush never did one thing to bring those people to justice. There is a motive behind this war and it will be brought to light. It might not be in our lifetime, but it will be exposed. You should direct this question towards him because he has never listened to the american people and he never will. GOD will deal with George Bush. Thank you and GOD bless.

I'm glad that we are welcome in Somalia and that we are allowed to blast Al-Quaeda to kingdom come. By the way, that's what we're doing there. I'm glad that we're finally looking beyond Iraq and that we're tracking them down. If we don't, then these bastards will be blowing things up on OUR soil.
WAKE UP!!!!

Helping Ethiopia. They do not want Somalia to be a muslim state. It is in our best interest to drop some missiles.
