They are allies, indeed the two major forces within NATO. Despite a rocky beginning some 200 years ago, the two countries get along quite well today.

One badly worded question as we haven't fought each other since the War of Independence! The UK has only ever fought along side USA at the start of a war three times. In Serbia and twice against Iraq.
We were fighting without the US in both WW1 and 2 at the start. We won the Battle of Britian but without them and Russia, mainland Europe would have been lost.
We fought the Falklands war without them and they fought Vietnam without us.
Sorry but 3 times doesn't make always!

Apart from a little falling out in 1776 we get on quite well and some of us Brits live over here now. The US and UK have fought side by side in many battles and are close allies.

What makes you think the USA always goes to war with the UK? The USA hasn't gone to war with the UK since the war of 1812?

We have teamed with the UK to fight bad guys on several occasions since then. But then that is as it should be. Good guys should always team with other good guys to fight bad guys.

I know that isn't the reponse you wanted but then to such a poorly worded question that is the best it deserved.

The UK and USA have the same values of freedom and democracy and human rights. This is why they are allies.
