YES this idiocy has to stop...and now. My belife is that this war is Bush's personal war. This is my opion only, please respect it. As to support ....Yes we all should support our troops and thier family 100% We don't send a Fireman out to fight a fire without proper equipment. We don't send a Police Officer out to Protect and Serve with out proper equipment. We must not send our Fighting Forces out with out nothing but the best we have to offer. As for protesting...The voice of one can be heard by millions. Lets all write one letter to our Congressman...it will be a start. Call your News paper...speak in Church...town meetings.Post fliers. Look back at what others have done like Dr Martin L.King. We must remember to keep things PEACEFULL. Violance is not an option. I hope this is helping. I will do my part.

Well the greatest form of protest would have been not to vote for the Democrats despite the fact that it is well known that they were against the war they were voted into power. The fact that they have even considered the reprehensible step of holding back the money or supplies the troops need is another example of why we as a people can not trust the Democrats with our safety and that their so called support of our troops was a farce to get them elected. Their hatred for our President is driving them to try to impose their will on him and by extension all of us and now that they are in power again you, me and every other person in this country (legally in this country) have no choice but to grit our teeth and brace for impact its only been a week and look how they have begun get ready for an uncomfortable and ridiculous ride all that you can do is not forget when it is once again your privilege and civic duty to vote again.

Actually you're getting your knickers in a not for nothing... YET.
The dems are not proposing holding back money designated for bullets etc. That is a gross exxageration the gop is circulating as a hedge against what are sure to be huge protests against a "troop surge". What the dems are proposing is not funding anything additional or at least having the Pres. explain how every penny he asks for and receives is spent. They want accountability.

Every single soldier over there is at risk. If you know anyone who is over in Iraq or even in the military, they will inform you that their weapons are way outdated. Half of their guns misfire and their weapons break very easily. They are not allowed to fire unless they get the command from their superior, even if they are under heavy fire. This is the sick way our military "takes care" of our soldiers. If you want to protest then do so because of the injustice. We have sent our children over there to die. There is no other way we can put it. They are not protected. Their military vehicles are outdated and keeps breaking down. The soldiers have to fix those problems while on missions and usually end up with limbs blown off or dead. You are right, our military officials are idiots and we stand by daily and watch them destroy us. Thank you and GOD bless.

If congress does decide to keep the money they can always put it in their pockets. Is this what this war about, keeping the rich even richer?

your bang on right. i can't believe it. one doesn't have to believe in the war to support troops. Maybe they should cut back on the funding for food as well....it'll be a slower death at least. I know bad joke. SUPPORT THE TROOPS
