Recently there have been lots of articles about the 2 affirmative action cases, one in Louisville, KY & the other in Washington state which will be decided by the court later in the current term however I've been unable to find the names of the two cases.
Does anyone know the names?

James Baker and his panel of bipartisan experts released their findings today, and recommended strategies for resolving the Iraqi war. My personal opinion is that it's all pig swaddle. Plus, I'd like to know how much American taxpayers paid Baker, his associates, and the Carlye Group for writing this report. -RKO-

Our tiny island will make no difference whatsoever to pollution control, in the meantime China and India will laugh at our stupid Politicians who believe our country is still important in the world order.

And we will continue to pay more taxes than any other country.

there is a new smoking ban taking place in Ohio starting today. it bans smoking basically everywhere (practically) but your own home. in one country, they already have a law out making smoking while driving illegal. so, whatever happened to freedom? isn't it enough that people have to go outside on their breaks at work. if you live in apartments or attached condos you are screwed! its about freedom of choice! isn't that what america was based on? why can't people just let people smoke outside wherever? maybe making a 5 foot distance... not 20?!?

by the way, i am not a smoker...

I don't know if it's the consensus opinion, but I believe it's an honest and accurate opinion

"1st Lt. Gerard Dow said he agreed with the commission's assessment that the situation in Iraq was "grave and disappointing."

"In Iraq, we try to win the hearts and minds of population," said Dow, 32, of Chicago. "They want Americans out of here. They blame us for all their problems. They look at us as the terrorists and then they turn around and help the terrorists who are trying to kill us."

Dow trained Iraqi soldiers in Ramadi and in the north during his first assignment in Iraq, and he doubts U.S. forces will be able to hand over the fighting by early next year as the commission recommends.

"The Iraqi army is getting there," he said. "But they are still not where they need to be and I doubt they will be by then. Too many times, they are in a selfish state of mind. Too often they are along for the ride while we do the work for them."

Our Earth is being torn to hell by war, pollution, over-population and so forth, and people try to make a big deal about possible ice on Mars! Meanwhile the ice here is melting. We have plenty of water here, why can't we invest the money to make this planet better, than plan bases on the moon and mars, two places completely uninhabitable!!!!
Such is human nature, "we've screwed this good thing up, time to start over!"
A bunch of BS.

What is wrong with our government? are we purposely trying to encourage Katrina victims to continue to live off the hand outs they are being given? I know of at least 4 of these "victims" who have all been working for a minimum of 9 months and still continue to have everything paid for them by FEMA. This is disgusting!! What is wrong with these people? Our government makes it so difficult to get help for people who honestly need it, yet these "hurricane" dead beats are having it all handed to them. FEMA needs to wise up and dump these people out of the help line. It's way beyond time for them to all start carrying their own weight. All this hand out extension crap makes me sick!

I just wanted to know what others think about that. Look at Palestine, and see how many children and women are being killed and raped by Israelis. If Palestinian soldiers are being killed then its understandable. But when its civilians, its an issue.

Does it bother you that a expresident who would not defend his country in the Vietnam war is now concerned about our old enemy? Bill Clinton is concerned about the People getting HIV/AIDS, but he was not that concerned that I was getting shot at & wounded by these people. He is their friend now that there is no chance of him going to war against them. Before any one brings up Bush, At least he served. why is he concerned with our enemies but not his own military?

Those who pay attention to news have realized that more and more studies and polls show that the teachers in our high schools and universities are overwhelmingly teaching far-left ideology in their classrooms. Conversations with teens and young people, and even the pages on this site, would suggest that the information our kids get is not balanced. That is. . . it is obvious that some important information like the total history of an issue, is being omitted if it doesn't coincide with the instructor's particular philosophy.

If we are turning out a whole generation that is taught to embrace one side of the issues, one form of ideology, one political view on America's place in history - what is the long-term consequence of this lopsided teaching, as years go by?

They arre given money, and it doesn't help the people, the red cross does all it can but the culture just continues moving toward further spread of HIV and AIDS. The don't want Condoms, and Medicen is to expensive. They are on the brink of returning to tribal war, the majority of the population still thinks the loud noise a gun makes is what kills not the bullet, and even the educated classes help perpetuate violence and AIDS through the loop that is being "manly" They don't want european help, because they don't want colonialism...are we supposed to just sit back and watch Africa tear itself apart? They don't accept help, and when they do it is squandered because of buracracy and lack of any real ability to implement what can be done. I want to do something, but what is there to be done?

. . . or do you think he just had a very bad night and is having a lot of trouble living with how he handled it? Have your feelings changed about him? Are you more angry with him or do you feel more sorry for him? Personally, I think a heckler just heckled in the wrong way at the wrong time and Michael is so stunned that he could ever do it, that he thinks he is subconsciously a racist. But we are all somewhat racist subconsciously. And anyone of us could done the same thing. But it is good that he is searching deep within himself. I'm still a fan and I hope that him and everyone else can find peace from this incident. So what's your take?

All the dems and libs have to do first let Muslims in Iraq know that they can not pray before, during or after any government meeting and that the new rules are "separation of church and state", pass a Civil rights act and start bussing Shites into sunni territory and Sunni's into Shite heavily populated areas, pass an "iraqi affirmative action law" for each group, give them all Ginsu knives and let the peace talks begin...just like the did in the 60's...the main thing is that Osama knows that there is a new sheriff in town - the Democrats..- you know the same party Clinton belonged to....I feel safer already....

Gordon Brown thinks he has been clever by not introducing any new stealth taxes but doubling previous ones we have all had to swallow. The Fuel and passenger duty is going to double and there is nothing anyone can do about it and if you go on holiday or travel away on short break weekends, stag/hen do's, visit relatives, you are going to be clobbered in the name of the environment. One question though can anyone tell me where the extra cash is actually going to help the environment as there has been no mention of it? Also this duty brought in £1billion last year and so is set to give them $2 Billion, Will this extra duty stop you from having a holiday next year or will you just pay it? I think pay it will be most people's answer's so back to the original question will this lose Labour the government as I wont be voting for the money grabbing @/.+@%'s!!
