Those who pay attention to news have realized that more and more studies and polls show that the teachers in our high schools and universities are overwhelmingly teaching far-left ideology in their classrooms. Conversations with teens and young people, and even the pages on this site, would suggest that the information our kids get is not balanced. That is. . . it is obvious that some important information like the total history of an issue, is being omitted if it doesn't coincide with the instructor's particular philosophy.
If we are turning out a whole generation that is taught to embrace one side of the issues, one form of ideology, one political view on America's place in history - what is the long-term consequence of this lopsided teaching, as years go by?

We have more and more young people that are getting promiscuous. They have been taught that everything is Biology and therefore you don't have to control your impulses; the time-tested virtue of self-control is laughed off to the wayside. In fact, all time-tested virtues are laughed off now as ridiculous. When trouble come, it's always somebody's else's fault. You have a right to sue because somebody didn't take care of the consequences of your actions fast enough. What I see is even more skyrocketing medical costs, more and more embezzlements as people seek money to pay for their impulses, more and more prisons until the whole society just collapses. We still have time to turn this around if people will fight harder to eject the left-wing ideologies.

I'm much more worried about high school students not receiving proper science or health education because school districts in states like Texas, where fundamentalists have control over school boards ,pick texts that don't teach evolution or sexual education. I don't buy for a minute that high school teachers are teaching far-left ideology. In fact, I think it's quite the opposite.
I think you're exaggerating the influence liberals have over higher education, as well. There are a few political science professors at the university level who use a liberal agenda in their classrooms, but most university students have already formed their opinions on major political issues anyway, so it's not like they have much influence over things. Besides, there are plenty of business and economics professors teaching far-right ideologies in their classrooms to balance things out.
On the whole, however, most instructors and professors are terrified of being black-listed, threatened, or sued and keep their political and religious views quiet for the most part. It's usually the students themselves who are much more outspoken about political issues. You see plenty of students sporting t-shirts with some religious or political message on them, for example, but professors are pretty much forbidden to do that.
In any case, if you're really concerned about lopsided teaching, the most important thing to teach students early on is critical thinking. They need to learn the difference between a rational argument and a logical fallacy, between debate and rhetoric, and between proof and spin. The future of our democracy depends upon our ability to distinguish facts from wishful thinking and our right to engage in public discourse without being labeled unpatriotic if we question government policies as is our right and responsibility as an American citizen.

Basically, you will end up with a new society of people that are only going to recognize their own and nobody else. They will probably view "others" has infidels and therefore will meet them with brutal force.
I strongly think that's what is happening between conservatives and liberals alike. Everything became polarized since 9/11, and it's adults today who have to correctly teach children what is right and what is wrong. But the question right now is: Who is right and who is wrong?

misss- education anywhere causes allot of mis-trust and struggle to sort out history for a reasonable truth for any person to stand on. it is a disgrace to humanity, to deprive and to force education . It is very painful to learn the truth after the facts and people are gone. There is allot missing in a life as the child reaches adulthood and uses the tools of education. not all were privileged, but , what they do have , is treasured. Thanks for the Q.

Young Americans are our resource for the future. They need to learn a wide variety of concepts, customs, and skills. When we fail to teach them about evolution, global warming, economics, geography, math, arts, literature, and science, we are determining that the US no longer wants to be competitive in commerce, leadership, science, or diplomacy.
