I was just on CNN.com, trying to find out more info about a singer that died today, when I read about a 21 year old man, that beat an infant, smashed the babie's head against a sink and table, and then, used an electronic cattle prod on the baby to stun her twice. The baby lived, thank goodness, but she has several broken bones and facial injuries. I hate to wish bad on anyone.....but I hope this man goes through hell in jail, prison, or wherever he ends up. Thats so sick! Has anyone else read this article, or seen the story on the news? What the heck is wrong with that guy?

On the audio tape made available on militant Web sites, the al-Qaida in Iraq leader also welcomed the Republican electoral defeat that led to the departure of Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld. He added that the group's fighters would not rest until they had blown up the White House.

I just trying to figure out this whole war and am a little confused about some things.

How did the trouble start?
What are the issues involved?
How did American get involved? Was it through presidential action?
What are America's national interest in the conflict? (e.g. oil, weapons of mass destruction, terrorism)
Does Congress or the UN approve?
Do American allies approve?

Does this concern you in the least? Make you wonder what it is about a democrat America that they want? They were unhappy with us when we were republican, but they applaud the democrat majority. It is almost like they feel America would be easier to destroy with the democrats in charge. Whats your take on it? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6137082.stm

Lieberman says he'll be a Democrat when the Senate recovenes, and Harry Reid says he'll maintain his seniority in the party, but if he ran and was elected as an Independent... what will he be officially? Can he change to a Democrat (i.e. D-CT), or will he just have to caucus as one while officially listed as an Independent (i.e. I-CT)?

Some Americans, like the ACLU and the media, are helping our enemies fight us. Isn't this called treason? And isn't treason punishable by death?

there are 200 hundred terrorist cells in britain, with 1600 terrorists being tracked in britain.arnt we being far to soft here. if there suspects and they know but maybe cant prove there guilty of being a terrorist shouldnt we just round them up and shoot them.thus saving thousands of pounds [tax payers money] in neadless court casses and prison space being filled up[more tax payers money]i appreciate this may sound extreame.but whats the option, internment for muslims as the americans did after pearl harbour.personally i wouldnt have a problem with that iether.and yes i appreciate thousands would be innocent muslims but if it means my kids can travel on the tube safely its a sacrifice of liberty i would be willing to make.what do you think.?

Here is my plan for Iraq. I was against the war at the very beginning, but became a supporter shortly thereafter. Now I'm tired of the US getting a bad name for what the militias there are doing to the civillian population.

My solution is called operation "You got one month." We give every militia one month to lay there arms down or we go after and kill every single terrorist we find, even those in prison.

Enough already you damn Iraqi militamen!

Is this the game plan to get dems back into power? Was the deal between the DEM Party and Terrorrits to kill more US Soldiers just before the election, kill more Iraq Citizens done just before the election or maybe a couple of months in advance? What has the U S Justice Department turned up as far as linking donations to the dem party by Florin Krisniqi and what has he not been deported out of Brooklyn? Why is this albanian Muslim gun runner not in handcuffs until this investigation is over.

But how do we know that death is actually a punishment?

Eliza Manningham-Buller, director general of MI5, said young British Muslims were being groomed to become suicide bombers and that her agents were tracking some 1,600 suspects, most of whom were British-born and linked to al Qaeda in Pakistan.

"We are aware of numerous plots to kill people and damage our economy. What do I mean by numerous? Five? Ten? No, nearer 30 ... that we know of," Manningham-Buller said in a speech in London on Thursday evening.

She said her warnings were not intended to alarm but to paint a frank picture of the al Qaeda threat, which she described as sustained and growing.

Britain suffered its worst peacetime attack in July last year when four British Islamists blew themselves up on London's transport network, killing 52 commuters and wounding hundreds.

"My officers and the police are working to contend with some 200 groupings or networks, totalling over 1,600 identified individuals who are actively engaged in plotting or facilitating terrorist acts here and overseas," she said.

Manningham-Buller said the number of cases being pursued by security services had risen by 80 percent since January.

"Today we see the use of home-made improvised explosive devices. Tomorrow's threat may -- and I suggest will -- include the use of chemicals, bacteriological agents, radioactive materials and even nuclear technology," she said.

Earlier this week Dhiren Barot, a British Muslim convert, was jailed for 40 years for planning to blow up the New York Stock Exchange and carry out attacks in Britain using a "dirty bomb" and gas-filled limousines.
A growing number of people are moving "from passive sympathy towards active terrorism" through being radicalised or indoctrinated by friends, families or organised training events in Britain and abroad, Manningham-Buller said.

The rise of China & Russia to oppose the US...
The constant violence in Palestine...
And a hell lot of chaos in this world makes me wonder... Are we on the brink of WW III, or even worse, The End of Days itself?
