Move on? I drive through bayou la batre, al everyday, and its really frikkin hard to move on, when your car, home, and place of buisiness gets destroyed, and the insurance company tells you that your policy only covered wind damage, when the wind drove 12 feet of water in your house. Those people are still in tents, and are trying to rebuild with nothing. they are tied up in court trying to get SOMETHING back from the 100s of thousands of dollars theyve paid to the car and home insurance policies over the past 50 years. unless you live down here, of course its forgotton, but its hard to forget something you see every day.

Definitely not. The incompetence shown by the Bush administration after Katrina was the final straw for many loyal Republicans. The party was supposed to be one of strong management and fiscal responsibility. Passing anti-gay and flagburning laws while wallowing in a sea of debt was an insult to thinking Republicans.
I went through the Katrina devastated area a couple of months ago. I promise that I'll never forget or forgive Bush and "Brownie your doing a heckuva job".

No, and I think that's part of the problem they're having with rebuilding their lives. If you ask any New Yorker who lived in NY at the time of 9/11, they want tourists to stop bringing it up so they can return to normal. People affected by Katrina would like to rebuild their lives too, and help should be on a personal, not national, level for them now so that they can not feel under the microscope anymore.

Yes, just like 9/11, with the passage of time, no one is interested in the story, nor the victims any longer.

Nope. Unfortunatly that's all you hear about. Personally i'm tired of it. In addition, everything is about New Orleans. What about Alabama and Mississippi? They got just as much devestation. In my opinion, New Orleans was like the flood back in the days of Moses.

People need to move on. Yes, it's a tragedy, but we need to learn from what happened and move on. Life isn't about the past... it's about the future.
