An America that abandons its Constitution and most sacred values is an America scarcely worth defending. If we start convicting people without due process, practicing cruel punishments, and infringing on the people's rights of privacy, then what, precisely, are we even defending? Nobody wants the terrorists to win, and anyone who actively helps terrorists is a terrorist, but standing up for due process of law is as American as it gets. I, for one, will fight and die to protect the civil liberties we enjoy as Americans, and I will never, ever give them up on my own free will.

No one wants terrorists to win any war. The media is more supportive of the war than against it. It has used patriotism and flag waving to the point these symbols have become annoying and patriotism has formed into nationalism. Yes nationalism can spread in the U.S. This country is not immune to the problems faced by other countries yet many people think it is.
Anytime a superpower or foreign power occupies someone's country in the name of enforcing through military occupation a change of government or overthrow of government, do not expect the people of that nation to sit still. The people will revolt, they will form militant and radical groups, advertise their cause to the masses and create an insurgency that spreads like wildfire. It has happened throughout the world. Than the occupying power and the public will brandish a whole nation as a hotbed for terrorism. A minority group will be seen as representing the majority when sometimes it is not even true.
Unfortunately, the U.S. still has not learned from fighting the Vietnamese and dealing with China that you can not, no matter how much you try, you can not use force to impose your way of life and conduct as the correct way. Countries do not like being told how to conduct themselves. China has told the U.S. repeatedly to mind its business. The Vietnamese told us to leave Vietnam before the use of military force became too exhausted. Yet we didn't listen and because of that stubborness and how we see our way as the best way for everyone around the world, Iraq is proving once again that the chicken is coming home to roost.

Terrorists are what they are, at least we know what to expect from them! As for the ACLU, they will be the reason for the USA someday being taken over 100% by another country that could care less where the bombs hit and just want us dead. The USA worst enemy is it's self, and the ACLU, they should be considered a terrorist group themselves!

They don't. The ACLU is not committing treason and they're not helping the enemy. Don't believe everything you hear on Fox News.

Believe it or not, the ACLU defended Rush Limbaugh during the investigation against him for prescription drug abuse. I bet they don't tell you that on Fox News.
And why would you think any American would want terrorists to win. Are you really stupid enough to believe every word that comes out of those conservative commentators on AM radio?

No, its called freedom of speech and belief. I personally hope we dont succeed in Iraq, mostly because it wasnt our right to be there to begin with. Does that make me a traitor? no it doesnt, i just dont give in to this false patriotic bullshit where i feel i have to put a flag on my house or plaster my car with "support our troops" magnets. Alot of ignorant people get so upset when the see these iraqi's killing our troops. But i mean face it, if the Iraqi army invaded america and was trying to take over to run it there way, would you guys not form together in militant groups to protect what you feel is the integrity of your country? if you wouldnt, then YOU are the traitor. we are essentially hating people that are exercising there right to protect the country, and their freedom. just because you might not agree with their ideals doesnt mean our government or lifestyle is better, or the "correct" way. 9/11 was our own fault for not removing our troops and military bases from Iraq years ago like requested... they warned us, we ignored them, and now we payed the price. The fact is, the iraq war will never end, it will go on and on until both sides resources are consumed and we are forced to call it quits and pull it. It happened in Vietnam and its happening all over again...

Please cite specific instances where the ACLU and the media are "helping our enemies fight us."
No American wants the terrorists to win the war.
Please come up with some of your own ideas, rather than parroting what you hear on the radio.
