I was just on CNN.com, trying to find out more info about a singer that died today, when I read about a 21 year old man, that beat an infant, smashed the babie's head against a sink and table, and then, used an electronic cattle prod on the baby to stun her twice. The baby lived, thank goodness, but she has several broken bones and facial injuries. I hate to wish bad on anyone.....but I hope this man goes through hell in jail, prison, or wherever he ends up. Thats so sick! Has anyone else read this article, or seen the story on the news? What the heck is wrong with that guy?

I haven't heard anything about that yet. That's just sick. I can't see how people can do that to other human beings, especially babies! I remember a couple of weeks ago there was a story on the news about a homeless man who had been beaten to death by a couple of teenagers who thought it was entertaining. Apparently they got the idea from video clips of a man on the internet beating up random people on the street. I just thought to myself, "What is this world coming to?" That's just awful. I hope that sicko gets thrown in jail for life.

It make you very angry to hear of anyone harm a child with such gratuitis violence.. There is a difference between evil and a mentally ill person. Was the child his own or did he attack somone elses child ?? There is no answer as to why we have to live in a world with such violence. I dont think its normal for an adult to hurt an innocent child but nevertheless it happens and the majority of people would not do that to a child.. The real evil is the people who use children as slaves for profit and sexual gratification. Try not to dwell on it too much, its pretty sick though. (Allo from eire )

That is terrible. I am totally with you on this one. The problem is that the bleeding heart judges don't give these kinds of people stiff enough penalties. I bet if you watch, it will come out that this sicko has a record of abuse or worse. We need to send a message to judges that we will not stand for these people getting off so easily. No more of this insanity crap. We can do this by finding out how judges have ruled on their previous cases and voting them out if they give this kind of idiotic ruling. This is where it starts, then we need to make sure that the laws are sitff enough to give these people stiff penalties.
We need to protect America from this kind of terrorist too.

Whatever bad thing you can think of in the world, someone has done it. Rape a baby girl? yeah, been done. Torture the children in front of the parents...... yeah, of course, sadly often by governments our governments support. Force a child to kill its mother? yeah, that's standard practice in some places. I sometimes think that nothing can shock me any more, but then something else appears.
It's easy to be paralysed by the horror of it all, to give up and turna away; the challenge for us all is to keep our humanity, to be aware of what's going on, to help people whereever we can. The horror is much nearer than some people think, but there is a lot of hope as well. It is amazing how strong people can be in confronting their own tragedy.
Keep faith in humanity!

Something larger and more devious than this is going on. When mothers can drown her 5 kids in a bathtub and walk away over a petty trial inconsistency (Andrea Yates), and can smash their kids heads in with a rock "because God told her to" and get acquitted (Deanna Laney), and the stories go on and on, that's scary. Had Deanna Laney smashed the window of a police car, for example, she would have went to prison. But after all, it was only children, right? Is it because they don't pay taxes and the government does not see them as a loss?? I don't understand it. This country should be all up in arms fighting for the safety of the children. These sort of things are not going to stop with this sort of leniency being given to the perpetrators.
