How would you feel? Would you rally around each other in support of our country? Would we stop the petty fighting and try to work together again? I ask about this on Thanksgiving because we all have that one thing in common.

BAGHDAD, Iraq - The United Nations said Wednesday that 3,709 Iraqi civilians were killed in October, the highest monthly toll since the March 2003 U.S. invasion and another sign of the severity of Iraq's sectarian bloodbath.

Also on Wednesday, Gunmen shot dead a bodyguard of the parliament speaker and wounded another, a day after a small bomb exploded in one of the speaker's cars, his press office said.

What do we want to do in Iraq?
Kill the terrorists that are blowing up mosques and markets or putting bombs where the US Army travels and shooting Americans?
Are these the same organizations?
Which do you believe the Army is targetting more?
Which one is better/worse for Iraq's future?

You can find the story on the Drudge Report website. Three narcotics officers, who were said to be serving a warrant, broke her door down and she fired and shot all three of them.

This slaying is extremely likely to create politcal chaos, and quite possibly civil war, between rival factions in Lebanon...
When you consider Israel's bitter frustration over the outcome of last summer's short war with Lebanon - (which most of the world seems to regard as a tactical victory for Beirut) ...it's obvious that Israel (and G.W.Bush too...!) would probably welcome any convenient "excuse" to send in more troops to attack Beirut again... Certainly they both had more to gain from this tragedy than Syria... Yet, have you noticed, Israel is not even being mentioned...?

It seems whenever an opinion on Iraq is needed, from the start of the war to the present, we rarely if ever hear the opinions of iraqis or people of iraqi origin. It is either Bush & Blair on one hand, or Stop The War coalition & British asians on the other. Neither set of opinions expressed by the above reflect those of iraqis. We are a diverse nation with 7 racial groups an 5 different religions, and varying social, political and cultural values. The arrogance of those in the west, either for or against the war and its aftermath is truly shocking. What say you?

The US invasion of Iraq in 2003 has:

a) improved the condition of the Iraqi people and enhanced the safety of the world from terrorist elements, or

b) aggravated an already tenuous situation for the Iraqis and the world plus introduced newer geopolitical challenges never encountered before.

c) neither.

Remember, try to be impartial and biased with your answer. In other words, do not interject personal biases not based on fact--as best as you can that is.
