I was thinking about Hawaii tonight, wondering how they are recovering from the earthquake. I live in California and I have lived through several earthquakes, some of them were major quakes. I come to think of them as exciting events. I think quakes are a rare occurance in Hawaii and I am curious to know how they are dealing with it.

On the news etc. Republicans seem to take a lot of heat for being too "anti-illegal immigration," not being "inclusive," maybe even being "racist," etc. but in the same vein, they are criticized by many for being "pro illegal immigration" because of purported cost savings for corporations. What do you think?

Is it true that in California, parents currently do not have a right to know if their 13-year-old child goes to have an abortion?

Is this statement by Tom McClintock,
California State Senator correct or just a misunderstanding of the current laws?

"Your 16-year-old daughter cannot use a tanning bed or get her ears pierced without your written consent. But she can undergo a surgical abortion without you even being notified.

Curios because I have had issues with doctors over my daughter's health care in the past. When did parent's lose their rights?

How much attention do these people need. Besides that, my kids are smarter and better looking than they could ever hope to be, write that in a newspaper and smoke it.

I met Steve once through family friends but I would not be so bold as to say we were friends, more like he made me feel like his mate from the moment that I met him. I am still upset about his passing and find myself feeling quite sad when I hear songs from his memorial or when my daughter is watching Steve on television I feel this overwhelming saddness.

Is anyone else still feeling sad about this loss???

A few years ago, the media bombarded us with the story of the Muslim kids who pack raped a young girl. They were subsequently sentenced to very lengthy jail sentences in high security prisons and justice was served.

Now we have the story of a group of Australian "surfy" types.. from aparently good homes.. who decide to make a DVD for money. During which they play a number of pranks "for fun".

Apart from property damage and violence against homeless, which in itself ought to bring a prison sentence. These kids go one step further and meet a girl, then attack and degredate her.

They also force her to perform an undisclosed sex act!! ie. RAPE PACK RAPE!!

They set her hair alight, and throw her clothing in the river leaving her half naked. This girl is ruined!!

Now I ask you.. why shouldn't we round these kids up, put all their faces on the front page of the newspapers, shame their families and then send them to prison for at least 10 years EACH!!

Will it happen??

It seems to me that "staying the course" isn't working, but I think a sudden withdrawal would have tragic consequences as well. What scares me is that there may not be a workable solution. We may just have to get out of the way and let the iraqis have their civil war. What do you think?

Is it because the government cares for its citizens? if so, why would gambling in the physical world be legal then?

My thought into all of this is that powerful people who control the big casinos realized that they could be losing $ this way and people will stop coming to their hotels/casinos. So they invested money to convince the government to pass a law to make it illegal to gamble online. If you think my theory is right, what do you think of it ? do you think as americans we can allow for such actions to be imposed on us? I'm not a gambler myself, but to see that some rich people can create laws and make a perfectly unharmful activity illegal for their own good bothers me as it tells me that people lost their freedom here. If hitler had billions of dollars, would the nazis populate the streets?

I think I'd be Equate brand. It's cheap, yet familiar because it's sold at Wal-mart. I consider myself cheap and familiar.

The number of low-skilled migrants from the two ex-Soviet Bloc states due to join the EU on January 1st, will be capped at less than 20,000 a year.
However, an unpredictable number will be free to work here on a self-employed basis and will not require visas.
Does this mean that the criminal classes ie "drug dealers, pimps, gangsters and illegals etc"who deside to come across , dont require visas ether?
Just like its been since 2004 Ha! Ha! Ha!
No change then Mr Reid
Who agrees
