A macabre question I know, but just a discussion I was having with mates the other day, I would ask in the world , but a bit vast!

From the latest home office statistics (see below) it look as though the detection rate for homicide (murder, manslaughter, infanticide) is around 70-80%. As for crime as a whole - only a quarter are detected.

Evening all. I'd say maybe 60%.Considering most murderers are known to their victims,I guess that makes the police's job easier.
