That fella terrifies me, and I'm thankful none of the allegations I've seen about him involves boys (I have two little boys, no girls).

I've never been a big fan of "criminal rights", but for this guy, I think the law should make some exceptions.

I don't care that he didn't kill Jon Benet, the fact that he WANTED to be known as the killer, that he proudly claimed it (and was lying the whole time) makes it clear he is seriously deranged, and to the point he could (and I think, most likely will) harm other children. No sane man would want to be known as Jon Benet's killer. I think he should, at the very least, be civilly committed (committed to a hospital not on criminal charges but just because he's a lunatic).

I also think that this unique story should generate some new laws. There are laws in place, it is a criminal offense to file a false police report. If someone claims to be victimized, but weren't, that is against the law, and they have to deal with being arrested, going to court, and either having probation or a jail sentence. That is based on the fact that because of that false claim, taxpayers' money and the law enforcement's time is being wasted, when there are REAL crimes out there not being investigated while work is being done on the false crime. I think that law should be flipped, if someone comes forward and confesses to a crime he or she did not commit, that should be a criminal offense, and probably a worse one than the original one for filing a false police report.

When a person comes forward and confesses to a crime he/she did not commit, the emotional thrashing the victim's family and anyone else close to the case feels must be agonizing.

I cannot IMAGINE how he got out of all charges, even the ones not related to Jon Benet. This is one of those many situations these days where I don't like our "justice" system.

I thought he was extradited to California where he was wanted for child pornography charges. Thats not scott free. I mean, it sucks what he did, dont get me wrong, but a lot of people do screwed up things like that for attention or because they think its funny, and I dont see anyone getting all up in arms about that.
For example, when I was little our family cat went missing. We hung up posters looking for him and a lot of crazies called us making horrible claims about our cat. Who does that to children? Apparently this sort of thing happens quite often. People think its fun.
Or on a larger scale, what about people who act like idiots to get onto tv? People who go on Jerry Springer or people who appear on Jay Walking acting like illiterate morons? I once saw a woman who claimed to be a middle school history teacher on Jay Walking who, when asked what year the bombing at Pearl Harbor happened, said it had happened a long time ago, like two hundred years ago. What the hell?
These people just do these retarded things because they want to be famous and they know that all this sensationalism will surround it. The more we sit here and fume about it, the more their goal is acheived. If you have a problem with him, why don't you start watching real news instead of this run away bride, fake confessions sensationalist feature crap that the Today show tries to pass off as news?
I might add here that the President cant do anything about it because thats not his job. He is the executive branch of our government. He does not handle judicial matters. Our founding fathers set up a system of checks and balances for a reason. Bush is president, not king.
Also, in a country in which it is legal to run a child bordello I dont think that he was too concerned with the consequences of suspected inappropriate behavior with a child. He just wants all the attention you people are giving him now.

I think he's smarter than our idiotic Department of Homeland Security, law enforcement officials, and members of our 'crack' legal and judicial system. Karr got a free first-class trip back to the U.S. where he knew he'd get off scott-free (thereby avoiding potential prison time in Thailand for some undisclosed possible sex crimes he probably knew were pending, or that he was about to be charged with).
Now, he'll write a book, make millions of dollars, and live the rest of his life in luxury, molesting children at his whim. -RKO-

Whew!! This is a loaded question! First of all he is a Psycho who should have been locked away in a Psyche ward on his own admissions! Why didn't the President step in and do anything about this? Letting him roam free! Ha!! His days are numbered now because eveyone knows what he looks like and someone is bound to kill the Son of ***** one day!! Even if he changes his looks, nothing good will ever come to an individual like him. HE WILL ROTT IN HELL AND THAT IS A FACT!!!

He is a pervert at the very least. Quite possibly a molester who got a free ride home, He is milking a horrific crime for his own need to be noticed. We should ignore him as much as possible and the media should stop interviewing and paying him. People near where he lives should keep a good eye on their young children.

I think our ancestors failed to pass along their wisdom and ability to deal with threats..
In our ancestral cave societies or villages, aberrant sick freak like Karr would've been killed... Preventative action works better than burying dead victims or allowing them to suffer assault or trauma...
Why add to the gene pool when defective humans like animals can be put out of their misery ...

I think he got a free ride back into the compassionate U.S. where he knew he wouldn't face the harsh treatment given to prisoners for sexual deviance over there. He was under suspicion there, and fired, remember.. ? Different country, different laws, and consequences.
