From AP report of fighting in Baghdad today:

The military first reported eight dead, then raised the figure to 18, but later returned to the lower figure, explaining that the changes were due to confusion on the battlefield.

Bleichwehl said all the dead had been "identified as hostile" and there was "no collateral damage," the U.S. term for civilian casualties.

But Iraqi police and hospital officials said the dead included a woman and a young boy. Sixteen other people were wounded, including four women and three boys in their early teens who had been sleeping on the roofs to escape the summer heat, an official at Noor Hospital in Shula said.

The Iraqi officials all spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release such information.

Curious to see what people think...

My fiance says I'm a nut to believe anything bad that I hear/read (he's Jewish). My friend is from Egypt and has told me a few things that haven't been made the news here.

I do know that I have seen a documentary of 2 soldiers killing a woman in front of her 2 kids because she was not cooperating (inside their home). Afterwards they interviewed the soldiers and they said "I don't feel bad for it, I don't have to justify it".

But, Israeli's do have to be a bit nuts to live where they do. Sandwiched between crazy countries!

These seven Jewish men collectively control ABC, NBC, CBS, the Turner Broadcasting System, CNN, MTV, Universal Studios, MCA Records, Geffen Records, DGC Records, GRP Records, Rising Tide Records, Curb/Universal Records, and Interscope Records.

Oh, I forgot the newspapers and tabloids.

Americans, 7 filthy kikes control your lives, day in and day out. It's time to wake up. Let's follow the example of Russia where Vladimir Putin kicked out all Jews from oil companies and media houses and created a Russia for Russians.

I admit to not always being the sharpest tool in the shed but as much as I know there is a "credit crunch" especially in the sub prime loan market is it just me or does no one else see similarities between the run on banks that led to banks crashing in the mid or late 20s helping to lead to the crash in part or the saving & loans bomb of the 80s & then the supposed burst of the tech bubble all of which while there was foundations for trouble & as the saying goes what goes up must go down or at least what's at the top has only down to go. How much of the panic in opinions obviously is feeding the flames of doom? It's just so annoying how every where you turn something is being tied to the credit crunch & on & on. Maybe its just me & even though I may not have a lot of luxery material things I can say that I'm debt free & always pay off debt asap even if it means putting off that new ipod or jetski but still it just seems like lot of this is being helped even if not on purpose.

If you were to accidentally kill someone you didnt know by accident could you go on with life. Like if you were in a subway one nite on your way home from work and you tripped on the newscart with your shoe,( the shoes you got from your mother last christamas that felt real good all year but got a little worn out after all the mountain biking you did this year and all the running and frisbee golf tournouments you and your partner entered but didnt win because your partner plays like crap most of the time, and cant tell which way the wind is blowing no matter what you tell him, but you play along because his sister is cute and likes to flirt with you and one day you might nail her curtain rods for her, if she asks politly) and you pushed him into an oncomming train and he fell and the train squished him after it dragged him down the subway rails for a few miles till he finally died in agony from massive blood loss. Could you go on living?

Gerry decides to lecture Europe on not looking after their children as well as he would like. From his blog:

"Although very serious cases like Madeleine’s (stereotypical kidnapping) are rare, it is very difficult to determine the scale of the problem, as there is no consistency in data collection across Europe. We agree with two leading British Charities (PACT and missing persons) that such data have to be collected with greater accuracy so that the frequency of serious crimes against children can be reliably documented- ideally such data should be available across the EU. Europe is probably 25 years behind the USA in such regard."
