Are we so desperate for soldiers that we keep people like this in the military? The truth is that some people, when they fall in love, think that they have the right of possession over the object of their affection. This is why men and women kill their mates. In our community, a man just entered an office and killed his wife with a hammer, in front of her terrified coworkers, because she had filed for divorce.
This woman belongs in jail, away from society, for the safety of her ex-lover and his current girlfriends.

On the contrary! All of these officers will be made an example of just because of the embarrassment that they have brought to the Armed Forces and to the space program. Believe me, Colleen will feel the wrath from both the military and civilian courts. Because these are two separate jurisdictions, it is not double jeopardy (facing the same charges twice). The public will demand blood and they will get what they want. Especially when the space program depends upon public interest to spur governmental funding. Furthermore, the military can't force anymore humiliation either. Remember tail hook? This scandal will ruin these officer's careers both in the military and civilian world. They are the role models and know better. However, I bet they will not see Leavenworth. What do you think?

Having been found guilty of the charges levied, I'm somewhat confused as to how / why she remains in the military?
Surely she should have been discharged, albeit retained in a civilian capacity to continue work, it obviously assumed important to the project to retain her.
A simple word to her minders would immediately furnish help to resolve the alleged problem with her tracking device!
I make no assumptions as to whether or not she will abscond. Personally I do not think so! Moreover, its probably a small cry for help and compassion - then let it be!
She has been charged, tried and serving her time as so directed. Once done, its incorrect for society to continually punish people.

She can fly in to outer space and pass the rigorous training to be an astronaut but she can't take the pain and discomfort of a tracking device even though a dummy like Nichole Richie could handle it.
She is full of it and is whining like a ***** because she got caught trying to kidnap another woman.

Oh, I'm sure that the device is cutting into her leg. So what? The only reason that she's wearing the device is because the judge let her do it while she's pending trial. Most women who are charged with what she's charged with don't get that gift; they are stuck in jail while awaiting trial. She should just shut her mouth, wear the anklet and hope she wins her trial.

why is she still able to be wearing a MILITARY UNIFORM????? Paris Hilton wore tracking device and actually NEVER complained about it---SO did Martha Stewart so I have no doubt that Ms. Nowak is full of BULL---Maybe she can put THAT in one of her diapers!!!!! She's a definite flight risk and I wouldn't trust her at ALL...her apology today that was televised sounded SO contrite and FAKE!!

What I can't believe is that she is still wearing a military uniform. No, her tracking device should remain and she needs a lobotomy.

Offhand, I'd say she just doesnt like how the bracelet looks. According to the news this morning they did let her take it off. This lady belongs in a loony bin with more permanent restraints.

Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
Nobody is thrilled to wear the tracking device, but that doesn't mean they don't have to.
If the device is too uncomfortable, maybe she could just do the time in jail.

I didn't know Paris Hilton had a twin sister that worked for NASA. If she can survive the training astronauts undergo she can survive the device. :-)))
