Have they followed the Lead in Spain ? How far is it from Edinburgh,perhaps Gerry can ask the pilot to drop him off on the way back to Portugal.He could have a quick look round and be back for dinnertime.Poor Madeleine I hope she is alive and well.

I agree, first he has to START the search so that he can continue with it, and, he doesn't have to remind the people about Madeleine, it's himself that needs the reminding.

They have been looking. There has been no stone unturned. They even checked the Vatican for her. You can't get a more unlikely place for her to be but they went that extra yard and checked anyway. Why is everyone so cynical these days?
