(Oct. 24) - His body visibly wracked by tremors, actor Michael J. Fox appears in a political ad that was the subject of widespread discussion on Monday after conservative radio commentator Rush Limbaugh claimed Fox was "either off his medication or acting."

A victim of Parkinson's disease, Fox speaks out in the ad for Missouri Democratic Senate candidate Claire McCaskill, who supports embryonic stem cell research.

"I think this is exploitative in a way that's unbecoming of either Claire McCaskill or Michael J. Fox," Limbaugh said on his syndicated show.

"All I'm saying is I've never seen him the way he appears in this commercial for Claire McCaskill," says Limbaugh. "So I will bigly, hugely admit that I was wrong, and I will apologize to Michael J. Fox, if I am wrong in characterizing his behavior on this commercial as an act, especially since people are telling me they have seen him this way on other interviews and in other television appearances."

recently this was the issue regarding the lifting of the ban in Iceland and when you watched the news video, you can't help but noticed that they seem very happy about this..is it a political reason and since these poor gigantic sea creatures cannot communicate with us or (maybe for some reason we humans are the ones who cannot understand the word "killing"), we just ignore them and yet they are the victims here, my fellow human beings. the fact that we call ourselves "human", when what we are doing is not humane at all....Is it an ego trip, like "you whales maybe bigger than us but we all have the means to make you extinct"! Care to comment on this issue...

U.S. Says More Soldiers May Be Needed in Iraq
American Officials Unveil Security Plan for Iraqi Troops
By STEVEN R. HURST, AP

BAGHDAD, Iraq (Oct. 25) - Two weeks before U.S. midterm elections, American officials unveiled a timeline Tuesday for Iraq's Shiite-led government to take specific steps to calm the world's most dangerous capital and said more U.S. troops might be needed to quell the bloodshed.

At a rare joint news conference with the American ambassador, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, Gen. George Casey, said additional U.S. troops could come from inside or outside Iraq to "improve basic services for the population of Baghdad."

There are currently 144,000 U.S. forces in Iraq.

"We are about 75 percent of the way through a three-step process in building those (Iraqi) forces," the general said. "It is going to take another 12 to 18 months or so until I believe the Iraqi security forces are completely capable of taking over responsibility for their own securitity.

I was thinking about Hawaii tonight, wondering how they are recovering from the earthquake. I live in California and I have lived through several earthquakes, some of them were major quakes. I come to think of them as exciting events. I think quakes are a rare occurance in Hawaii and I am curious to know how they are dealing with it.

How do you get soliciting phone calls to stop? Such as constant, daily, annoying sales for dish network, credit card eliminations, to mortgage reducing when I don't even own my home?????????????
Now it's even electorial phone calls to vote for so and so........ I get more of these annoying phone calls than I do personal calls on a daily basis. Does anyone know how to get them to stop calling? I've tried hanging up time after time, They just call back. They say push #2 to be removed from the list. I push it and it claims I have entered an invalid #. Very frustrated.

I just saw this issue come up on the news. I'm sorry but shame on the media for claiming he "overacted" his parkensins. These people have obviously never experienced having a loved one that has to live with this horrible disease. My father has parkinsins disease and it's horrible to have to see him go through what he goes through. I've personaly faced this disease face to face, and the man wasn't overacting. I've witnessed my father fall flat on his face breaking his nose. I'd say the media is getting as bad as the politicians, if not worse. Do you think he was over acting? or do you think the add was sincere?
