I just saw this issue come up on the news. I'm sorry but shame on the media for claiming he "overacted" his parkensins. These people have obviously never experienced having a loved one that has to live with this horrible disease. My father has parkinsins disease and it's horrible to have to see him go through what he goes through. I've personaly faced this disease face to face, and the man wasn't overacting. I've witnessed my father fall flat on his face breaking his nose. I'd say the media is getting as bad as the politicians, if not worse. Do you think he was over acting? or do you think the add was sincere?

I really should have figured it was Limbaugh. That man needs to be deported some where far far away. or simply have his voice box surgically removed.

Parkinson's is a horrible condition, and I certainly hope they come out with a cure for it in my lifetime. I'm sorry to hear about your father.
The problem with Fox's ad was that he:
(1) Stated that the politician he opposed was against stem cell research. He ended it there and didn't elaborate. On the contrary, BOTH candidates are for stem cell research. The issue is that his candidate is for using embryro stem cells, and the other is not. He was misleading purposely in the ad.
(2) In Fox's own words, he admits that not taking his medications so that he shakes more frequently during presentations about Parkinson's is something he feels is a "gift" he can share to show the "realities" of the condition. He obviously didn't take his medications for the ad so that he would shake more.
(3) He is clearly able to control his condition with medications. He is not to the point where he would shake that much if taking them. Videos of him earlier and later than the video shows this.
The ad was misleading and hooked viewers into the lie using sympathy. It was simply dishonest.
I have no problem with stating one's view - just be HONEST about it.

Regarding Rush...I could care less about him....he's a loudmouth that needs to retire. I only know the ad I saw.

Michael J. Fox is sincere and courageous for being truthful. He is not a victim-type person; nor does he want pity. I admire him for facing his illness head on. He knows his public persona enables him to bring attention to this disease which is 100% honorable. He doesn't have to. He wants people to be informed of the reality of Parkinson's so he isn't sugar-coating it. This attention he is able to give will hopefully elicit money for the disease. I admire him so much. He's a true hero. And by the way, I am so sorry for your father and for you for what you have endured with this disease. Lots of love.

In my personal opinion, Mr. Fox is telling the truth about how much he needs stem cell research to move forward and it is too bad that the Right Wing still oppose and no progress in U.S. By the way,India is devoting her country for the Center of stem cell research as well as biotic. Now India surpass U.S. in Engine ring and The American people will be sorry in the future because, the American government chose Religion believe over future job and economy and human live.

Overacting? No I don't think so. My father has advanced pd. It's not a joke. The meds. they have to take give them the jeckyness the swaying and so forth. I know,.. wish sometimes I didn't know. So boo.. to Rush. The media should do this one right.

Personally, I think Limbaugh is trying to stir things up and he is a lonely, pathetic man who cries out for attention. He's an extremist to say the least. I am sorry about your father though. Don't let Limbaugh get to you, he's the one that will have to answer God when that time comes.

ive read his autobiography and I know he takes meds to make the symptons more manageable (ur dad probably does too) maybe he didnt take as many on that day so people could see what he really has to live with
I find it highly unlikely that he would make them seem worse.
Ur right the media are horrible

I don't think you can "over-act" that disease. As usual, the filter between Rushs brain and mouth is all clogged up with his meds.

I think he wanted people to see what the real face of Parkinson's is, what it does and the fact that it (currently) cannot be stopped
