It's a scam. You should never have to pay to get your winnings.

I have received similar emails. I have even received snail mail. I have also gotten phone calls from people claming to be with the with the U.S. Customs Office and saying that they have a check for me, but it's all a scam.

One day I got two different calls from U.S. Customs Office, because they were holding onto checks for me. One was for $500K and the other was for $330K and I got the calls within and hour of each other. Talk about being one of the luckiest SOBs on the planet. Too bad they were just people trying to scam me out of thousands of my money.

Anyway, I played along and got as much information as I could without giving any of my information. Then, I took the information to my local police station a filed a police report.

oh this is so a scam.. do not do it. they Will send you a check for x amount and then ask you to send money back. or they ask you for money and say they will ship you the check. you wont get anything except your bank back charging your account for the the fake check you cashed or deposited. i get this all the time at my work. i work for a shipping company and they do it all the time and it sucks. they get your money and you get nothing. so dont do it.

It's a scam. A legit lottery wouldn't tell you through email.
